McCaffrey, Deebo, Kittle, Eli Mitchell, Aiyuk. Even their FB can make plays.

It'll take an outstanding effort from our D to contain these guys.
Thats why we need to stop Brody to get the ball into his playmakers hands.it will all start in the front

This is a poor match up for us. We really struggle to contain scrambling QB's and Purdy is better at it than Daniel Jones. Combine that with the rest of their weapons...We will need a huge game from Dak and the defense.
We have no choice, the rest of these QBs can move. Just have to man up and bring the wood first.

He's probably been told to try not to get hurt.

You want to get Diggs hurt? And see what happens?
I'm pretty sure he is already hurt but playing through it. He won't even try to make am arm tackle, he's never been a tackler but he's made tackles when he has to. If he's avoiding contact in the next game I'm assuming he has a bigger issue that will need off season rehab. I'm sure the safeties know this and will try to rally to him as much as possible

I would put Parsons on Kittle, he matches up with speed and strength. Now I say that, realizing that other players have to step up in the pass rush to make this work. Also, I've not seen Parsons in coverage, so that is a bit of an unknown. But knowing that Parsons has ridiculous speed for his size, it would be something to consider if Kittle starts carving up the secondary.

I'm cool with Parons doing his thing off the edge most of the game. It seemed to work against the Bucs.

The more time passes, the more I think we'll have a legitimate plan.
However, the record of teams coming off five days rest like we are compared to seven days with teams playing at home, like the 9ers, is something like 9 wins to 26 wins with the two extra days..

So we shall see.

Dude you do not take one of the best pass rushers in the league and turn him into an oversized cornerback. Guys who know how to run routes, how to lean their weight into you and cut off it will abuse someone not used to playing coverage like nobody's business. The best use of Parsons in a game like this is have him be a heat seeking missile in the 49ers backfield.
Yes, I know it's risky, and outside the conventional thinking. But if the safety play is disastrous due to the size matchup (Donovan Wilson gets hurt or something) , we have a seriously good option that every other team in the league doesn't have.... Micah 4.39 Parsons

You act like that’s a bad decision. You want him in the IR or covering #1’s? Tell the LBs and safety’s to do their jobs and it won’t be an issue.
Cornerbacks have to tackle occasionally no matter the scheme.
If you are unwilling and your hurting the defense you should have gone into baseball or basketball or some other non contact sport.

I think it's a wrist injury. He's not extending his arms at all to initiate forcible contact.

So there will be only 1 player on defense not being blocked, got it.

Thats why I'm an advocate this week, stick Micah in the middle. Play Hankins as much as possible. We have to be physical. Can't let the 49ers run all over. If Purdy outplays you you tip your cap and move on.
No No No No No
Do you not remember last year when Micah had to play LB all game because of injuries and how that killed us? Did you not see how he completely dominated the game last week? I'm all for Micah moving around a lot like he did for a good part of last year but playing him solely at LB would be moronic...with all due respect

I saw a lot of missed tackles last week, plays where the DBs got juked and gave up another 5 or 6 yards. If they do that with Deebo or CMC it will be big play time. Remember the Deebo TD last year?

The good news, and the not so obvious difference this year, is Kazee is taking bad angles and missing tackles somewhere else. Wilson, Hooker and Kearse are much better tacklers.

If the NFL is becoming a positionless "speed in space" game, the Niners' philosophy is like "physicality in space." Every single guy on their offense will block you, and every one of their skill players runs hard like a halfback after the catch. They won't just attack Diggs, they will attack everyone.

The Cowboys DL and underneath defenders showed me last week that they can be physical and won't back down. But I am worried about a lack of size there if Shanahan just wants to try and run them over (like last year). And on the back end, I haven't seen a lot of tough football from any of those guys. Diggs is known to play soft, but I haven't seen Bland or Hooker really get physical with guys either.
