I wonder what local community college or flag football players Jerry drafts with the rest of our picks?
It took a little bit but I knew some complaints were coming.

I see the usual suspects are rushing to defend ownership that averages a wild card playoff win every decade. Jerry and his ego thank you from the bottom of his wallet.

Most All-Pro draft picks since 2010:
Cowboys: 9
49ers: 7
Five other teams: 6
2010: Dez Bryant, Sean Lee
2011: Tyron Smith, DeMarco Murray
2013: Travis Frederick
2014: Zack Martin
2016: Ezekiel Elliott
2020: Trevon Diggs
2021: Micah Parsons
We suck at free agency but we draft very well
The contingent of people who are completely miserable and have to be negative about everything is quite considerable on this site.Sounds like someone got up on the wrong side of the bed today! Try to relax and hope for the best. I know it's hard but you can do it.
Even traded up to reach lolIf you want to talk about reaching,.,,look at the patriots picks
Using the "LB as a DE" caused us to get more out of Parson than Oakland got out of Mack during his DMVP seasonsThis franchise continues to have a different grading scale for the draft. That would be fine, if it produces playoff wins but Dallas knows that has not happen for closing in on three decades.
Sure, there are those that will say, look at all the Pro-Bowl "success" the Cowboys have drafted in the 1st round. Maybe better than any organization.
My rebuttal to that: Do not care about personal players achievements !
This franchise is equivalent to the Detroit Lions/Cleveland Browns in how poor they are in playoff wins
The bottom of the barrel. The 3 WORST teams in producing playoff wins in 3 decades. Don't care about Pro-Bowls, 1,000 rushing yards, receiving yards, interceptions, TD passes, sacks, tackles, etc.....
WIN playoff games.........period.
Dallas draft appears have ingredients of either reaching for a player and/or taking player and then using him differently than what he did in college. Draft a LB and use him at DE. Draft a OT and move him to guard or opposite his position say RG to LG. The NFL is a big learning adjustment to begin with and then to apply these rookies in a different position is another animal.
Now, over the years, the Cowboys also love to draft grades that fall to the 2nd rd because of "issues" and once again, the team takes another "issue" 2nd rounder. There is a reason why Dallas has been horrible with past 2nd rounders. Then little success with 5th rounders and later.
This draft strategy, along with sub par/poor coaching, has crippled this organization for far too long.
Someone needs to create a discussion here. This board has turned a long series of 26 years rants. I get it, but at some point it gets as tiring as losingI see the usual suspects are rushing to defend ownership that averages a wild card playoff win every decade. No one is putting personal accolades over team success. But it's dumb to pretend a guy is a bad pick because he makes a Pro Bowl but the team doesn't win. There's more to it than that. I don't think our drafting is the reason we haven't had playoff success at all. I think our drafting with McClay has been really good. But, I agree on the 2nd rounders. I always called it Jerry's round.
Our problem is overvaluing our own players and resigning them for too much money and not being big enough players in free agency. I'd rather see one $15M free agent than 3 $5M guys. Let our guys fill out the bottom of the roster, but go get a stud at a position of need in free agency for once to give us some additional impact players. The draft shouldn't be needed to fill huge gaping holes. That should have been done by the end of March.
Well said Sully 26 years and counting. This franchise continues to have a different grading scale for the draft. That would be fine, if it produces playoff wins but Dallas knows that has not happen for closing in on three decades.

I like it.. It lets me know who to put on ignore
They created the needs, then tried to fill them. Not a way to improve.I am loving what we are doing and filling needs.
