I'm pretty sure (and correct me if I'm wrong) this is Garrett's last year on his contract. If so, he doesn't have to even be fired...just not extended.

I'll give you one thing on that front...we've made a ton of changes to the players most commonly in pass coverage, and to the defensive scheme and, while I do think they are all good players, it's not paying off at all. I'm open to the argument that Carr/Claiborne/Scandrick/Church/Wilcox/Lee/Carter aren't capable talent back there, because the results stink so far and they have for several seasons, but I honestly have a hard time seeing why it is. All of them but Claiborne look like good, quality NFL starters to me, so I don't understand why we're not playing better pass defense. It's befuddling, and makes it hard for me to decide how it is I think we're going to get better other than everybody just doing the small things. I agree that that's a completely unsatisfying answer in light of the 400 yards/3tds we just gave up this weekend.

Our talent isn't what we thought it was. Claiborne and Carter are being benched. Williams is killing us w mistakes. Lee can't play pass defense. Our wrs drop a ton of balls and can't break tackles from small corners ever.

Romo is a very talented qb. Murray is a above average RB but not great. Dez is excellent but until he stops dropping key passes he's not an unstoppable beast. Witten has been passed by about 6-8 tes in the league. Ware is battered and comes and goes in games. Austin can't stay on the field. Etc etc

We are not all that talented. Its a myth
