The Cowboys took all that momentum, struck out completely in the off-season, and this is where we are at.

See ya next year.

This team did absolutely nothing to improve after last season.

It’s almost like the FO said, hey we were 13-3. We almost won a playoff game. It’s obvious we will do the same next year. Let’s stand pat. All of our guys will get better and everyone else will be worse.

There were no contingency plans in case Sean Lee gets hurt. (Last year was an aberration) No contingency plan if Dak gets hurt. The only depth we have is at running back (we don’t need that many backs) and in the secondary in the form of unproven DBs. There is absolutely no LB depth because we have so many receivers (why when we have so many RBs??) and a draft with no impact players outside of Jourdan Lewis (who, if the league uses the precedent of Zeke, might be suspended next year for DV).

After the unforeseen success of last season, this year feels like a regression to the mean.

Lawdy lawdy, we blew the hell out of this offseason.

The values of our offseason moves will show in 2018 or 2019. We overhauled the entire backfield. Those rookies have to settle in. But i think we have found some players.

We had to make a decission on Leary. Free left also and we had to make a choice. Leary or Collins. I think we made the right decission.

Green was good last year when he had to step in for Tyron. I didnt expect him to play so awful. But granted the Coaches whatched him not only in the offseason they watch him every day in practice. They should have known what to expect from him.

Overall i am pleased with our offseason. We could have done better but we had the cap in the back of our mind. And thats much more important then to make the splashy signing like JJ loves us to do.

We are well set for the coming years. We are able to sign the players that take us over the hump if we like to and i do think this team will be close next year.

We didn't even stand pat. We lost two starting OL and four veteran DBs. That's why I thought we'd slip to 9-7. Then you toss in the Zeke fiasco and injuries to key players and you get 5-5 because management can't do anything to mitigate those personnel losses. Just plug in the back ups and hope. Best of luck to us.

There was a fresh rejuvenating energy in the air last year. You could feel it. The locker room was having fun. This year there is just this negative energy/dark cloud hanging over the Cowboys. Between the Zeke suspension, Jerry vs the NFL, Hitler Goodell, and the negativity running through the fans, this season just got off on the wrong foot and it shows. Personally I'm ready for it to get over. This team needs a mental reset.

We aren't going to sign any players worth anything. We are as cheap as can be in free agency. We only spend when it comes to our own players and overpay i.e.Dez, T Will and Scandrick. Add Witten in there, too. None of them worth close to what they make.

This team will finish 10-6 or 11-5. This team will get better has the last quarter of the season is approaching. JG just needs to have better game plans and adjust.
