Al is going to be given every opportunity to join Quinn in Washington.
Personally I think Jerry is going to try and keep him here on zimmers staff and durde is a long shot but if he ever got hired here (he won’t) Harris would stay also. Cowboys control where Harris goes unless it’s a promotion but it can’t be now that Whitt is hired.

My guess is zimmer gets hired and Jerry tries to see if Harris and zimmer are compatible and he keeps Harris here

I'm hoping Dallas is waiting until after the Super Bowl to see what happens to 49ers/Chiefs assistants - maybe Daniel Bullocks (SF DB coach) or Joe Cullen (KC DL coach).

Ah, hell. Who am I kidding.

yeah because it's been really horrible around here winning 36(12 per) games, two division titles, and going to 3 playoff games 3 years in row.

terrible choice for sure.. more posts that just need this team to be disgustingly bad to match that energy. smh. the responses fell lie we won 18 games in 3 years and are horrible...umm OK be jaded and full of exaggerations and overreactions.

at least it wasn't joe judge and many other coaches that have failed in the NFL.. that new blood oh yea. AGAIN, MOST of the NFL hires retreads very few are new first time candidates and very few of those work out.
I love Mike. I’ve always been consistent with that.

Durde interviewed yesterday, and Zimm and Rivera today. One has never been a DC, the other hasn’t been one in 14 years, and the other in 10 years

While I realize it’s late in the process, that’s the only 3 candidates these Bozo’s could come with? In all the NFL, and college football landscape?

very short sighted, but they made their bed by saying this year is “the year”…….
Lame duck year. I'm shocked they've put even this much effort in it

If you don't like the candidates in process that's one thing, but I have a hard time believing that the Cowboys haven't been doing their homework for a couple weeks now just in case DQ left. What you're seeing this week is just the final candidates interviewing in person. This is how we knew guys like Rivera and Zimmer had interest in the position since before DQ left. Obviously someone from the Cowboys had some sort of interaction with them before DQ left, and probably with several other defensive coaches about the role.
exactly, i bet they had conversations with mike Vrabel and bill Belichick amongst others BY phone but SOME fans think they are owed 24-7 updates and minutes from every meeting LMAO>> can we say entitled fans seams the most disappointed...

i guarantee you they had five names and they're trying to work through them and dont know many teams that DO MORE

my guess:

DC=Zimmer

But I think there will be some kind of promotion for Durde (a new title)

We know nothing, but if McCarthy wants Zimmer, there’s no reason to go further. You gave one guy an interview because he deserves it for his own growth. Rivera satisfies the Rooney rule and was worth listening to since his expertise and success as a DC is what led him to his head coaching career. I think it will be Zimmer. I think Mike wants discipline and toughness on defense.

Also it probably isnt a coincidence that the top two names we are hearing about both have prior HC experience. The the same sort of vibe the Cowboys had last year with MM/DQ where MM wasn't really a full walk around HC and prioritized his time working with the offense. An experienced guy like Zimmer/Rivera gives MM another chance to specialize on one side of the ball more instead of having to sit in on what the defense is doing constantly too.

Zimmer seems like the perfect guy, poetic justice-wise, to guide Jerry’s ship the last few miles into the iceberg that it’s clearly headed for.

I'd love for them to consider new coaches for both the OL and DL, but what do I know?

If they are under contract, we cant hire them
