Antonio pittman rb
Quentin moses delb, 6-4 249 4.65 was de, jr year # 1 prospect
Jeremy bloom kr pr, cut by eagles
Josh gatis s 6-1 185 4.5 in 40
David clowney cb, was wr 6-0 184 4.4 in 40
Cb c j Wilson, this is guys said from tx keep eye on
Dallas was interested in cb that bears traded to patriots, so he might be worth looking at;

Guys that I would like for cowboys to bring back;
Moore QB, Bartel QB
Coleman RB; Jackie Battle after 10 games and injury settlement
Rodney Hannah TE
LB Junior Glymph, WR Damarius Bilbo, RB Alonzo Coleman, CB Quincy Butler, LB Blair Phillips, NT Remi Ayodele, LB Khari Long and WR Jerheme Urban

I think you can have 8-9 players on practice squad, but not sure total amount.

So, if and I do believe in our scouting department with Jeff Ireland, if we can get a couple of good guys that other teams cut, then add in some of our players that were on team before cuts, and add that mixture, then I think we can have a pretty good roster of practice squad players, then if need be, we can bring them up to 53 man roster if someone tries to sign them.

Don't know if Urban can go to PS. He played for Seattle in his rookie season both on ST & as a WR.

Bloom had a toe injury, and hasn't performed very well (i.e. always letting the first guy tackle him).

If we had Urban and didnt keep him, why would anyone want Bloom? He is undersized and couldnt make a team more desperate than us for a PR. He made almost no plays since putting on pads.

The Pittman cut is surprising.

At first glance I thought they were talking about Michael Pittman. Hmmm so much for another Ohio state Rb. Morning Sarge.:D

I would not mind giving Pittman a shot over Tyson Thompson.

I would put Pittman on PS, not take him over Thompson. He doesn't have that type of speed.

Thompson's speed isn't good enough reason to hang on. He can run a sweep, but not much else. he's poor on blitz pickup. If Pittman is more versatile I wouldn't care about his speed.

more versatile doesnt mean more talented...

Pittman just isnt much of an NFL talent, and releasing him after just drafting him in April kinda shows that

Jeremy bloom sucks. Maybe it is the injury that is making him look bad, but he blows.

Besides if Pittman were any good, the Saints could have traded him for a conditional pick. Will be interesting to see if any team picks up some of the players you've mentioned.

Now why would a guy come here for PS over the team that he's spent months learning the playbook for? Folks can say "we pay our PS guys more" -- but what sort of realistic chance does a player like that have to ever hit the active roster here vs. with the team that cut him?

I wouldn't mind sticking Mosses on the practice squad. He probably hasn't showed enough for us to give a roster spot, but if he goes unclaimed we should add him to the practice squad.

Atleast with Mosses and Davis, they probably needs a fresh start (which is sad for someone with less than 1 year experience). Since they where first day picks and couldn't make the roster, they probably have little chance with that organization.
