#1 QB in yards
#1 defender in tackles
#5 Running Back
#4 Wide Receiver

not counting..
#9 defender in sacks
#19 receiver

etc... etc...

...and STILL suck lol

I mean, don't these guys actually amaze themselves at how bad they play, while still holding those stat positions? lol

You just gotta laugh at it...

They don't play as a "team" but bunch of individuals on a team. Some would call it a team without an identify.
On the mic'up video of the Bills game, Marinelli is telling the players "don't just play for the individual stats but play for a win." The DC is telling them this but it's not getting through to the players.

The culture JG has set and allowed is the problem. The country club attitude infused camp carrot cake is the issue.
Jimmy Johnson said it few days ago, this team is physically talented but mentally weak. He said these players act like they've accomplish something great when they haven't accomplish anything.

And this could be one of the looming problems:

Individual accolades.

Play as a team!

The greatest accomplishment for a team is the SB. The players should never concentrate on their stats IMO.

Heck, back in the '90's you probably didn't want Aikman on your fantasy team. But you wanted him on your football team.

And for the youngins': Yes they had FF back then. It was in magazines that you would fill in, cut out and send in via mail.

Note: When I say youngins. I am NOT a dinosaur yet. :)

Wait till the end of the season and check how many # 1 we got?

No discipline. No focus. No team-centric attitude. No passion about winning, just about playing and getting paid. Sure, there are a few exceptions, but not enough.

A team reflects its leadership. Sadly, the leadership SUCKS.

That’s because this team cares more about stats, clubs, fame, fashion, and money. No doubt that it’s coaching, but this team is a large cancer in itself. Why else do you think Bennett was yelling? They are content with losing, that’s why. They don’t care about winning and Bennett didn’t understand why. Bennett’s an older guy in a young locker room. He sees immaturity. Lack of passion, grit, and caring. He see players with mindsets and mentalities in the wrong places. Our locker room only cares about stats, fame, money, likes on Instagram, clubs, etc. Winning isn’t a goal or priority for them. They couldn’t care less. You can question JG for his leadership and correcting this behavior, but we are talking about grown men here. They should be more mature than this, but I guess not. A new HC will not fix this. We need to trim the roster completely or at least by 50%. That will let the players of this team realize they are not safe and they need to get their acts together. They need to realize that everything isn’t rainbows and sunshine. They will grow old and realize all that money wasn’t worth wasting prime experiences and moments (Superbowls, championships, etc). It’s only a matter of time.

You also have a team geared up to run the ball. Monsters up front and a top ten draft pick RB.

Then you have a HC that was a QB. And a new OC that was a QB.

We played the bills and established a run game and abandoned it early in the 3rd quarter. We weren’t down enough to go pass happy but we are doing it week after week and we keep losing.

To many blown drives. And Dak refuses to call his own number any more. We need a balanced attack.

I have yet to figure out why this team always abandons things that are working at that moment. We have a long history of that...
Just made Zeke a huge contract and run him 12 times... when running is actually working.

:hammer:

Sums up my thoughts about the team since the Saints game.

Turnover and penalties on offense. Piss poor special teams. Lack of turnovers on defense. That'll do it. Good stats, bad outcome.

Kind of makes you wonder, if we could have really beaten Philly without all the early turnovers in that came?
Exactly right. Not only did those turnovers take opportunities away from Philly, but gave us the ability to play offense any way we wanted to for the rest of the game. Unfortunately, we're on the opposite side of that scenario too often.
