Put it this way: Jerry doesn’t hate losing enough to make the kind of changes that are really needed. He doesn’t like to lose. But he doesn’t hate losing enough.
You're right. Earning money, doing it Jerry's way, and Jerry getting credit is 1000x more important than actually winning it all. All you have to do is look at his actions opposed to what he's saying. As long as he's still earning money, the Cowboys are talked about, and he gets to do it Jerry's way he's fairly happy.

It's weird how some folks think the GM storms into the locker room and yells "YOURE FIIIIIIIIIRRED!" like Vince McMahon in WWE as soon as the game ends.

50 hours ago firing MM wasn't even a thought. If you think that isn't being discussed now you're kidding yourself, but it's a big decision. You're not just firing Mike, you're losing other guys too if you fire him. I'm glad they're taking time to cool off before taking action, but there will be some action.

Even Jerry knows how hard it will be to sell no changes to the fans. Something will happen.
The problem with that is there is a limited pool of good coaches available each off-season and other teams are already firing and hiring from that pool. The longer Jerry waits, the fewer good choices remain. He's always reactive and never proactive and that's why we always fail. The second MM said "we weren't prepared" he should have sealed his fate. It was his job to prepare the team. The second Quinn inexplicably switched from man to zone despite Love being weaker against man, he should have sealed his own fate.

It's like they barely studied GB and thought they'd coast through the game and win, which no good coach does. No good player does that and the entire team did it. They shouldn't be sitting on their butts hemming and hawing. Heads should have rolled already because of the other teams searching for coaches too.

Imagine the Cowboys do something stupid like hire Jason Witten.
Ya know, I get the sentiment, but I wouldn't doubt JW could actually be a good coach. The way he used to curse defenders during practice for being out of position tells you a lot about the guy. He wasn't only competitive, and an offensive guy, but a student of the game. His tape showed it. Even when he moved like Luka, he was still open, and catching almost everything coming his way.

If there is no change…I’m done…I’ve done it with the college basketball and football team that I grew up with, and I can do it again. This is almost 30 years of horse #^*!….no more. Booger isn’t committed, so why should I be…blank this whole sorry organization. Why am I all of a sudden mad? Because I just realized that nothing is gonna happen…he’s put us through this same “cooling off period” before…then we will be given some line of BS and told that post season success is mandatory…which he said TWO YEARS AGO…nope no more….screw all those boot lockers at DC.com as well…do your damn job for once…out!

The fact that JJ hasn't come out in support of MM says our HCs seat is kinda hot. If MM is fired, it ain't happening while the wound is still bleeding.
I'm still waiting for "Breaking News from The Star" to appear on my TV.
