Only thing that matters is stopping Barkley

Can’t let him get record. Load the box with 7-8 every play he’s in. Stop the run. That should be the goal. Problem is I’m not sure we could even stop them running with even loading the box but you gotta try.
You are playing for the draft pick not to win.

I played well up into age 45 in the Army. By the way, this fan never went Postal.

As to being a Correctional Facility Guard...get a clue now. Go Cowboys! This game should be solidly real...
A prison guard is good. No IQ needed for that job.

There's a good chance Barkley breaks the record. He gets an extra game to do it though so it's not quite as impressive. Same as all the other records that have fallen since another game was added.
Those points seem to not matter. Do we take away the all time season sack leader Watts record because Reggie White set it in only 12 games?
What's crazy last week when the posted how hast Micah got to 50 sacks and Reggie
White got it in only 40 games? That's insane. He had 50 sacks 1/2 way through his 3rd season? Jesus

If Barkley can rush for 268 yards against us, then he deserves to get that record this week. He's having a great season, but that would take a monumental effort even against the worst run defense in the league.

I think you're safe. You're not giving up 268 yards.

But if you're talking not seeing an Eagle in general have the rushing record, then lose the game but keep him in check. If Philly wins and Barkley has 100-120 yards, he's limited to likely sitting out next week. Even with a Philly win, If he's sniffing the record, and with Sirianni being the child he is, Saquon gets pounded next week instead of resting in prep. for a tough home playoff opener. If the Cowboys win, all bets are off for next week cuz the division will still be in the balance.
Yeah, maybe the best thing we could do is allow him enough that the record is in reach so Sirianni has to decide whether to play him next week. Could see some hurt feelings or a beat-up Barkley resulting from that. I'm good either way.

Conclusion:
Injuries have played a significant role in shaping the performance of the Cowboys’ defensive backs this season. The absence of key players at various points has forced younger or less experienced players into starting roles, impacting overall cohesion and performance. The Eagles have stayed healthy this year and other starters like Darius Slay and C.J. Gardner-Johnson all come into this week with a clean slate. That’s led to a team allowing the second-fewest passing yards this year.

Both defences will be focused on stopping the run.

Both offences are suspect in the passing game. Both have backups under centre and one is missing their #1 WR.

The theme of the defensive game is, "Let Rush and Pickett try to force them to beat us with their arms."

I think this game will come down to the obvious. 1. Who controls the LOS on both sides. 2. Respective run games for either offence. 3. WR units against each other.

The typical wild card in any game is # of turnovers. Chunk plays. Special teams.

If we see one team moving the LOS consistently throughout the game that will be the winning team IMO. For a backup QB their best friend is protection.

Excuses...not really in the real world if one has enough guts to face them reasonably. Not by expecting there is a right way to do the wrong thing

Not going to happen. A Pop Warner running back could run for 200 against the putrid Dallas defense.
This putrid defense is just getting better every game I don’t remember anybody getting 200 yards on us

I think that's the actual gameplan Zim is going with considering the Eagles QB situation.

Knowing Jerry he's glad and thankful that we could help such a back like Barkley to reach this milestone, it's great for the nfl
Actually, it’s not. They rather let Dickinson keep his record.
