I don't think you take them away because, either way, it's still an accomplishment. I just feel like people will say "Yeah, but..." at least for a time. It was likely the same back when they expanded from 14 games to 16. Most of those season records from the 14 game seasons are long since surpassed. It is what it is.

Right on!! If people want to discredit Saquon for (possibly) breaking the record in a 17-game season, why didn't they discredit Eric Dickerson for setting the record in 16 games? OJ got his 2,000 yards in 14 games.

I have always tried to be a positive fan because I have a good understanding of capenomics and proper roster build.
Jerry and Dak just put us in historical purgatory, don't hate the messenger, I'm just speaking the honest truth from fan perspective.

I understand it’s possible, but Saquon’s history playing against Dallas… not great. He hasn’t had a 100 yard game against us in 5 years and it’s not like he didn’t have opportunities. He got his first win against the cowboys. This year. 1-10.
