Open Letter To Ryan Switzer

for a guy who has done essentially NOTHING in Ward. lol...Greeeeaaaat.
a backup for backup, whats the issue , David Irving was on a PS and now look.. sometimes you go get players that might fit your system and see how it goes..just because he didnt hit it off in Oakland doesnt mean he doesnt have chance here..

I am sorry you never had a real chance in Texas. I think you are a very talented player. I wish you all the best in Oak town! I as some others were looking forward to this new year here in Dallas as to what this staff was gonna unleash on the NFL in regards to you my friend. I thought for real you were the Cole Beasley replacement player. Having lived in WV and married into a WV family myself ( Brooke Bruins and you George Washington) I was and am still rooting for ya. I know you are gonna succeed and use this to your favor. On the other hand Tavon Austin is a Mountaineer from Baltimore,Md but still a Mountaineer. And he is now a Dallas Cowboy. I wish you both well. That completes my open letter. I am a born and raised Texan and a first team Dallas Cowboy fan.

Bro, come on. An open letter to a 4th round special teams pick?

Nah..I am behind Ward 100%...I am just skeptical. Seems like a huge leap of faith to have in a guy who ,to date, has not showed up. Lets hope a change of scenery makes the difference.

Whaddya think Switzer is? He’s the poster boy for JAGs.

Nothing but a blond Lucky Whitehead; a mediocre PR, who was a turnover-waiting-to-happen and who couldn’t crack the lineup except for gimmicky jet-sweep BS.
He has 1 year in the league, just finished his rookie season. Sure he could be a bust or a superstar. Beasley in the other hand is closing in on 30 years old and has never had a 100 catches in a year, double digits TDs or 1000 yards

As depraved as Oakland was at DT and they chose to trade him? lol...furthermore, Ward couldn't get on the field . That's not a good sign when you consider how woeful they were at the DT position in Oakland. He has less than a 2% chance of being good here in Dallas.Switzer still has tons of upside.

He took a knee because it was raining and we were winning. No need to take a chance at getting hit and fumbling. We didn't need to score we needed to hold onto to the ball and run clock....... It wasn't at the 10 either

I found the vid - it was the 14 yard line when he took the knee. He had fumbled earlier in game or previous week so it was eating at him?

We were up by 7, but there was 4:30 left on the clock.

Garrett went crazy though when Switzer came off the field. ...

Can a player take a knee anywhere anytime and not get hit?

Beasley's cap hit for 2018 is $4.25 million. Dez's was going to be what, $12 million?
Beasley has NEVER been a team distraction, Dez was a constant distraction.
Beasley has missed only 1 game the last 3 years (including the last game in 2017 which he just didn't play). Dez missed 10 games the last 3 years.

Need more reasons?

Look, I'm not saying Beasley is All Pro or indispensable to the team. I'm just saying people are taking a 1 year guy, who has little if any continuity with Dak and the offense, and putting him in place of an established receiver just because "well, I think he's better". Sure you want to better your team, but when you have a two year quarterback who is still learning the game you need to keep some familiarity with the offense. Your number 1 receiver is gone, your no. 2 is recovering from foot surgery and now you want to replace your slot guy, all at the same time?

Makes no sense at all. Call it the "bird in the hand" viewpoint or whatever, but the fact remains - SWITZER WAS TRADED. Sorry if you're such a great judge of NFL talent and the Cowboys didn't follow your plan, but that's the way it is....
The entire offense is changing so that's not an issue, everybody is learning different plays.

Even with Dez missing games he still out produced Beasley and about the entire distraction thing....... Beasley has been running his mouth especially this off season.

I have my reasons why I wouldn't have traded Switzer, that being said I understand why the cowboys did it. Most of the time I'm on board with the decisions we make but me and a ton of fans are saying the same thing.

Can Beasley help...... Only in the slot which we have guys that can already do that. He isn't special is all I'm saying but some folks defend him like he was Irvin

My open letter to the same player:

You are a punk.

I would have forgotten about you if people didn't keep bringing up your name around here.

you can post and say what you will but it was the right move. Maybe fumbling was in his mind..... That's good I like a player that will play smart and not take a risk. What do you think Garrett would have done had he tried to really it to the house and he fumbled that close to the redzone? You have to factor in that it was also raining, much easier to make a mistake.

Remember a few years ago against Washington and right before the half we tried to score and we fumbled or when the back got hit the defender caught it and got points? With a little over 4 minutes in the game...... That was close..... Be safe with the ball and let the OL go to work. We won so it was the right decision

Not, because I have lived in New Freaking England for over 15 years! And could gravitate over to the Patriots easily if I were a band wagon fan. My daughters have married Patriot fans and thus ingrained families into the same. Not fan proud of it but it is what it is. My 9 year old granddaughter is getting a WV Mountaineer jersey for her birthday. Yep, I love the Longhorns too and Sooners as Billy Sims is an alumni from Hooks,Texas as well is Jeremiah Trotter. We don't call it awkward we call it diversity in our family. My wife's family is Pittsburgh Steelers fans true and blue. I was in our military and moved around a lot, Berlin Brigade being one of a few... My adult kids never let me forget that. The moving around losing friend part of the equation. Go Cowboys!
You should have gravitated to Pats fan. You must like suffering.

How do we know he never got his chance in Dallas? The team saw him for a full year and maybe he never stood out enough in practice to earn enough time on the playing field.

Besides he made one of the most boneheaded decisions on a ount return last year that I've seen and was completely unapologetic afterwards when interviewed. I won't miss him.

It makes no sense because you are posting nonsense.
I never "made it about race".
I made the statement that not all white WRs are the same. I.E. Danny Amendola and Ryan Switzer are very, very different body types.

Switzer is gone because he wasn't able to help out of the back field or covering kicks and as a back up slot he didn't have enough of a role.
The race stuff is your poor reading comprehension.
So, now you make it about race, deny it, and personally attack me? Are you like 12 or something? This is just weird, dude.

come on man, he believed in him, dont most of you guys have pet cats? nothing wrong with that.

Who here forgot Romo already?

Nobody forgot Romo, trust me. People are still arguing all over the internet as if Romo would’ve went 19-0 that year.

The Dallas Cowboys have a good track record when it comes to finding hidden gems among the undrafted rookie free agents that are signed following the annual NFL draft.

Legendary players like quarterback Tony Romo, safety Cliff Harris, wide receiver Drew Pearson, cornerback Everson Walls and special teams ace Bill Bates are just some of the undrafted diamonds the Cowboys have discovered in their storied history. In fact, some of the best players on Dallas’ current roster, like kicker Dan Bailey and right tackle La’el Collins, are undrafted gems.

According to one NFL writer, that prospect might be San Diego State defensive back Kameron Kelly?
