Same here. I've had my doubts about him ever coming back and news like this just reinforces that.

The last thing I want I see for this team to keep four TE's - including Hanna - and cut another good player, only to have Hanna soon come up lame again.

If he's still unable to perform football activities at this point? Just end the charade already.

I know it sucks for the player, but ultimately, it's a business and if you can't help the team, you shouldn't be here.

He earned 3.25 mill last year. So it doesn't really suck that bad for him.

I never saw verification but it sounded like he microfracture surgery. Probably the surgery with the worst success rate for athletes

That's what I heard too. And you're right, he got paid in full for not playing a snap last year. Hard to feel too sorry for him.

I just never like to see a player's career cut short due to injury. But they're not running a charity. At some point, he can play or he can't.

It is hard to not be an enabler. With salary cap limitations, there is only so much you can do. You can't just arbitrarily dock pay. Cutting guys over random incidents comes with a financial cost. As much as we want a bunch of great people playing, it isn't simple to do.

Interesting comments on Jaylon. It's going to intriguing to see/read about his progress over the next few weeks.

That was an extremely uneventful event. The highlight I noted was Jerry declining to give the media his answer to his wife's question, "Why isn't Jimmy our Coach?", way back when Jimmy Johnson was let go. I was surprised Jerry made public that Gene asked him that in private.

Tapper is Matt Johnson 2.0. I'll be surprised if he makes it to week 1.

Has there ever been a team that has stuck out more on one position group than we have with defensive ends?

Irving
Hardy
Gregory
Lawrence
Tapper

Where does it end?

Irving was free and productive has 2 years left
Hardy was a one year trial....low risk high reward
RGregory is a bust but has 3 years left if he survives
DLaw has performed when healthy.......this year is make or break
Tapper is a bust how???? 4th round pick in second year

It's obvious Jerry is still running the show despite many fans thoughts to contrary .

I loved him saying he wasn't going to discuss the Zeke situation then discussed it. Lol

And his Anology of driving into ditches with his father bailing him out of trouble was special and basically blaming most of the off field altercations on today's technology.

True form is an understatement Erod.

Jerry should be suspended for having too many suspended players again. Fines aren't going to get his attention like lost draft picks or his butt not able to attend his stadium.

What's it going to be then, eh?

From what I gathered, I think they were much too reserved considering the dialogue.

I expect more mystery as we go along.

Stephen Jones clearly defined his lane today.

But hey, he is like taking over.

9 collective years as Cowboys for those 5 guys....

19.5 sacks total for the 5 of them over that duration which equates to an average 2.16 sacks per player per season.
