Opinion: Bradie James has lost his job to Bobby Carpenter...

Carp will be the starter James is not athletic enough for this defense.

all i hear about is bradie cant do this or bradie cant do that. but bradie has been dallas' leading tackler for 2 yrs.

is he good in coverage, not 20 yrds down the field. but neither are 80% of the lb'ers in the league. could he improve? hell yes, but in the scheme dallas played last yr, he was to cover the underneith, while roy williams job was to knock the holy **** out of the wr, te, or rb so they couldnt catch the ball deep. roy failed miserably with that. is carpenter better then james? maybe in the nickle. but against the run? carpenter cant even compare. james is a monster vs the run. he's shown that over the last 2 yrs.

i'd like to see all the backtracking from all you couch analysts when bradie starts. and offer up excuse after excuse as to why bradie is starting and carp isnt. carpenter right now is one thing. a good nickle linebacker. and a very important backup.

"mark that down" you heard it here first

like your sig too.

It will be interesting to see how he responds to his lousy last year with a new coaching staff this year. Will he take advantage of this new situation and excel or will he founder? Having the gumption to drop 20 pounds or so is a good first indicator.

It's going to be an interesting training camp - and then the fun really kicks in. I'm in no hurry nor am I taking sides, I want to savor every minute no matter what happens and I simply hope Jerry doesn't squander the resources Parcells has left him with. Only time will tell and I can wait. I don't feel any personal anxiety about any of these TC battles.

May the best man win the job. Whoever is best is who I want out there. Dont care much about the number on the jersey.

I must admit I am pulling for Carp. But I would back Elmer Fudd if hes our LBer on the field.

Thanks Zaxor.

Your sig pic looks a lot like one of My grandfathers, John Anderson the outlaw, who squatted in Cherokee territory to escape the law - there was a lot of that back then. He had a half Indian wife and four kids and then abandoned them to marry a younger woman and have four more kids in a town in Choctaw territory. Nice guy, huh?

Oh yeah, just to keep it football-oriented - Go Cowboys!
