Time will tell.

Dak and his agent have overplayed their hand. If they continue doing that at least now the Cowboys have a fallback option.

Part of me wants to see Dalton play and see if the offense can do as well without Dak.

We'll see him in the preseason. Unless Dak is traded or is holding out, I doubt he starts in the regular season. But he is that "backup" plan.

5 other teams were interested in Dalton but he choose Dallas because he felt it was his best option to start. This goes against narrative that he will just be good boy and hold clipboard for Dak....na he came to start!
This good! The team won't miss a beat with Dalton. This could be fun for Dalton, he has never had it so good.

He said it was his best chance to start. Or you think this. He also lives in Dallas. How much did he get offered by other places..

I totally second this and i hope it comes to that Dak IS NOT WORTH IT and DAK IS NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER QB. I now fear that Dak will come to his senses and either take the deal or accept the TAG

The starting QB job was never offered to him, Mr. Propaganda Panda.

The other teams, like Dallas, wanted him as a backup.

The difference:
Texas is home for both he and his wife’s families.
Best offensive supporting cast is in Dallas. Dak has it made here. So if he does play, he's in good hands.

We should have taken Jalen Hurts in the 2nd round instead of Trevon Diggs.

The more I look at that draft class the worse it is. I'm at a B- now.
Really not sure if you’re serious or not? Hurts is a gadget player. He’s not an NFL QB

The story I heard was none of the other options offered a real viable chance to start so he chose to stay home for a year and try again next year.

I definitely think this is the most likely option. Some folks assumed New England would offer him his starting job, but it seems clear that never came to fruition. It makes sense if no starting options emerged for him.

Also, with the whole coronavirus situation and the fact he already owns a home in Dallas, it probably makes the next year a little easier on his family.

3mil is good boy carrying the clipboard money, not starter money. Unless Dallas knows that DP plans to hold lengthy holdout, Andy ain't playing.

No respectable player would go anywhere to be a backup.
For Dak's sake, he better hope Dalton challenges him.

Another Myth....Dak Haters are incredible:lmao2:....just a little hint like Dak, Dalton had a Franchise Left Tackle in Andrew Whitworth for the 1st 4 years of his career. Dak has Tyron Smith.... we can go roster for roster

Do you want to play?

Dalton had talent...but he had Marvin Lewis....Garrett's twin!!
