Correction:Prescott is going to show up as we're the only NFL team willing to pay him 30 million for 1 season.
"we're the only team dumb enough to pay him 30 million for 1 season."

Technically, he's not under a contract so he's not really holding out.Wasn't the first inkling of this was when he said he wouldn't participate in the virtual offseason.
I have been tell all that don't listen to words, look at their actions. Actions say holding out is a possibility.
The 2nd thingie. Not sure how one would determine that. Multiple outlets had Dak as the number one free agent this offseason. You don't think a top ten QB would get $30 million plus on the open market or are you just stupid?
He's, most likely, offering more than 30M a year for a 5 year extension.Only the "Dak-Blind" don't or won't accept the fact that only our fool of a GM (Goes by the name of Jones) will pay this inept QB 30 million for 1 season.
Technically, he's not under a contract so he's not really holding out.
I don't think not participating in the virtual offseason is anything to go on. He's doing exactly what any smart player does, following his agent's lead. He went to CAA for a reason.
Anything you hear or see about him possibly being a no show is nothing more than BS to start a debate. They're running out of material.
Just my opinion, I don't see anyway those companies continue with him not showing up for work for the Cowboys when the only reason he got those endorsements is because he plays for the Cowboys. He would no longer be considered the DC QB.
I do not underestimate the effects of social media on companies when people lash out at them. They would at least shelve any ads with him in them because under the circumstances with America's Team, new HC and offense and using a 1st on another weapon for him, Prescott would be the most despised pro athlete in America. The Joneses cannot and will not let it go that far unless they're willing to move on.
Marcus, it's never happened for a very good reason. The QB can't hold out without a lot of image damage, other players can do it but not the QB.
I pretty much agree Dalton's signing forces Prescott's hand. However, I am also someone who assumed incorrectly Jones and Prescott would settle on a new contract before the beginning of last season.this is true but not signing is not an option for Prescott
McCarthy and Stephen ensured that by signing Dalton
Dalton won’t win us a SB but he is a competent NFL QB and you bet Prescott will not want him starting and winning a few games early (which is likely to happen) as that will truly bring down Dak’s leverage
Dak will sign the tender and take his chances
I am completely truthful with myself, he will show up. It is pure speculation and more what some would like to see because they don't like him. It is unadulterated BS.You just can't poo poo it and call it BS.
There is the possibility that a holdout can occur. Believing that it cannot happen is not being completely truthful with yourself.
What is Bell endorsing? That's my point, not fan booing.Even if he's holding out he's still connected to the team and thus the DC QB until he leaves for another team so he'd be the same in advertisers' eyes whether this or suffering a season-ending injury Week 1.
I think any other assessment is high drama forecasting at the very least. If not agreeing to terms on worth makes one the most despised athlete in America then people need lives. Advertisers would simply wait out fan fickleness (drama-queening to the lay person). And no one outside of Dallas would care, honestly. Is Leveon Bell roundly booed anywhere he goes? Again, no one outside of Pittsburgh cares and it's mostly forgotten now, isn't it? Advertisers know those metrics.
Great example of the overrated leadership crown he has been given.Technically, he's not under a contract so he's not really holding out.

Team leadership and negotiating a new contract are different animals.Great example of the overrated leadership crown he has been given.
Explain how not participating either helps his personal cause or that of the team goals. At the end of the day he is either going to sign a contract, play under the tag or sit out. His taking the opportunity to use the virtual off season to help himself and the team he "leads" to get up to speed with new coaches and systems is not going to affect any of those three potential outcomes. All three of those options will still be available on July 14 regardless of if he sulks and refuses to participate or he decides to put some pants on and get after it with his teammates.
Dak has a masters in "Workforce Leadership". In other words he has learned the buzz words and phrases. I've worked around plenty of clowns who could talk the talk but never walked the walked and it showed.
Great leaders don't have the team quit around them. Great leaders don't have arguably the best players on their offense tapping out in critical moments of critical games. The one thing you can say about Garrett is the players played for him. They fought hard right to the end in 2015. They fought hard in 2016 when faced with the hopelessness of starting what was a very promising season with a rookie, third string QB. Strangely, things declined from there culminating with last season's fiasco.
Put your pants on and get to work Dak. It's the best thing for you, the team and the fans.
Dak Prescott was never planning on not being the Dallas Cowboys QB1 come the first game of the season. The FO was never planning on him not being that. Too many have gotten themselves all twisted up in the business that is really none of our business.
If NFL ball is played, Dak Prescott will be there, like it or not. He was never planning on being anywhere else.
Hmmm I see a Kirk Cousins scenario
