Who beats TIME?No players can’t beat TIME which is what it takes to overcome injuries.

There is a little thing called route combinations. Any WR can find the soft spot in a zone. So, when a defense plays a lot of man to man, the OC and or play caller uses route combinations to get players open. That's why the league is so pass happy these days. So you hear these dummies on TV talking about separation, separation, separation. And you believe them. The TV dummies have to make up stuff to talk about. Cedric Wilson was one of the slowest WR on our team last year, but he kept getting separation, didn't he? It's not up to players to get separation anymore the OC has to scheme them open. The league has changed. Think about it...Outside of Randy Moss, Tom Brady played with some very slow WR's his whole career. Did it hurt Brady? The biggest storyline from Oxnard will be the WRs failing to get separation consistently. Lets see if the front office will stay stubborn and not bring in outside help that’s not the same over sized WRs they currently have.
Like I said WRs will not be creating separation this entire camp.
Man, sorry, but that's just not accurate. There is a little thing called route combinations. Any WR can find the soft spot in a zone. That's why coaching matters so much in today's NFL.
What's not accurate about it?Man, sorry, but that's just not accurate.
That separation ability doesn't matter. And that anyone can get open by finding the zone. Both are highly sought after traits that generally are accurate predictors of success. What's not accurate about it?
The NFL became really pass happy around 2004. Where teams begin playing more shotgun. Since 2004 how many super fast receivers have set the league on fire? 3....5...2?
The person who created this thread thinks we need to add some top notch speed to our roster. It's almost as if he thinks speed is a cure all for this team... but it's not. If the OC can't design plays to get players open in today's NFL then he shouldn't be an OC. It's just that simple.
Speed doesn't make a player better. Cole Beasley was better than Tavon Austin...right?
Holes in a zone are always in the same spots. It takes a WR some time to learn how to read the different zones. So finding holes against a zone defense comes with time and repetition. It's more about understanding defenses which means it's more about knowledge than skill set. So, if given enough time to learn, any WR's can find holes in the zone. That separation ability doesn't matter. And that anyone can get open by finding the zone. Both are highly sought after traits that generally are accurate predictors of success.
Agree w/ you on speed. You do need some at the WR position on your team as it can really create some matchup problems as well as pulling the S's deep, but it's not anywhere near as important as burst and lateral agility and quick feet.
Nothing particular wrong with that.Brown is JAG
