Apparently there were other "cirumstances" (forget the exact phrasing... extenuating circumstances?) for which they could arbitrarily add more games.

I'm trying not to even think about it anymore. It'll happen when it happens. Nothing we can do or say to change that. The NFL is playing their game. I would like to see an amendment that puts a time limitation on their determinations though.

That reasoning used by Goodell is comical. If that's truly his stance and what he used as a basis for the 10 game penalty, i feel even more confident that ultimately the penalty will be significantly reduced when the dust finally settles.

The GFL (Giants Football League) folks in the NY offices would not be pleased if this were the case. My point is if they drag out the appeal and then rubber stamp it he will file a Federal lawsuit. The judge will issue a stay and he can play until the trial and judgement which may take a while.
