Uhhh......that's what I just said.
And you think it's realistic to expect perfection?
If I remember correctly, we also allowed them to easily drive down the field several times. What's the excuse for that?
We let the Jaguars score one touchdown when they started on their own side of the field. There's no excuse needed for that. Unless you expect perfection, that is.
Do you not see a pattern here?
Yeah, I see the defense stepping up to make stops in critical situations, only to have the offense blow it with turnover after turnover.
Maybe you just don't pay attention well.
Or maybe you don't.
Sure our defense has "stepped it up" a few times...they should.
And yet you blast them for the rare instances when they don't. Again, you expect perfection.
Take this game for instance.... Was it Bledsoe's fault that the defense gave up multiple 20+ yard plays? Was it Bledsoe's fault that Hank "Freakin" Baskett went 80+ yards for a TD? ... But did you not see how we gave up a huge play to start the game?
So now you want perfection for all 60 minutes, not just in crunch time?
What about those times in the second half where the Giants basically marched down the field on our defense?
What, you mean the ONE time that happened? In the second half, the Giants had five possessions -- a 14-yard drive, a 68-yard drive, a minus-8 yard drive, a 34-yard drive and an 11-yard drive.
If we want this team to be a playoff caliber team, then the defense has to be DARN near perfect in those situations.
I disagree. We could improve some on defense, of course (such as not having Watkins allow long passes). But mostly we need the offense to stop turning the ball over in crucial situations, costing us points, giving the other team points or both.
Our defense is good enough to be in the playoffs. Our offense is, too, if it doesn't turn the ball over.
They should make the stops when they have to.....People like you try to give them a free pass from blame.
No, I just don't blame them for not being perfect.
