He did the same thing last year when we took Felix Jones of Rashard Mendenhall. He does not deal well with disappointment.HomeOfLegends;2777365 said:Seriously........
I have never in all my message board years (how ever many that is) have actually seen a poster go from a teams #1 cheerleader, enjoyable poster and over all interesting cat to the most negative, miserable and just hard to be around SOB over the release of one player......
It blows my mind.
True story, I have thousands of dollars in Emmitt Smith junk around my house. Truly an icon in my heart but when we played him in Arizona after being released I was hoping Dallas would beat the piss out of him so he had to be carried off the field (but of course would be fine the next day)
Players come and go, the Cowboys are always the Cowboys.

To apply any measure of validity to your personal assertion, you must first apply truth to each and every outcome which has not happened yet. Allow yourself a moment to consider what the word 'truth' actually means before responding.DaBoys4Life;2777226 said:seems as those the pessimistic thoughts are closer to the truth.
A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away, it was once stated as a fact that the Dallas Cowboys' drafting of Felix Jones would result in, "The lack of big plays".DaBoys4Life;2777260 said:roll your eyes all you want to but the facts are the facts.

That was as much fiction as Star Wars itself.
OH! You asked for only one opinion. My bad.
- December fades and untimely turnovers by Tony Romo have taken him from unquestioned next great QB to perhaps our most controversial player now that Owens is gone.
- Two of our RBs were injured last year and our OC has not had an attack focused on Running the ball.
- The number one reason why teams could not double team Jason Witten was released.
- False starts, age, high salaries, and no proven depth.
- Will Kosier be healthy? If he's not can Holland step in? Cory Proctor still lurks to kill the QB.
- Shotgun snaps.
- No changes on a staff that under achieved in 2008.Neither are likely to be voted to the Pro Bowl. They are solid but unspectacular.
- Opposite Ware is a crap shoot. Will Ellis continue to produce if he is even here? Will Spencer develop into the player we drafted him to be?
- Can we find someone to fill the other inside spot who isn't ancient?
- Despite talent there is also youth and inexperience.
- Injuries and lack of performance by backus in 2008 and an unknown commodity in newly acquired Gerald Sensabaugh.
- Even with Wade in charge, is this Defense good enough to carry this team if the Offense struggles?
- Coming off an injury.
- The Special Teams were so bad in 2008 that an entire Draft was focused on improving this area. Improvement depends on rookies stepping up.

That's as good a way to put it as I have heard.Bleu Star;2777394 said:Good post all the way around Hos. I think it pretty much covered everything.
There's an optimist and a pessimist hidden inside of me. After getting burnt the last few seasons the optimist is just hidden a little deeper than ever before... But it's there...

Optimism...Jason Witten is the best in the game and Bennett has proven to be a good weapon who can develop.
Pessimism...The number one reason why teams could not double team Jason Witten was released.
Roy can handle double coverage. T.O. could as well but Garrett didn't know what he was doing last year. Witten would be the worst in double coverage cause he's not very agile and he's rather slow.GimmeTheBall!;2777575 said:That was among the gems in your post.
But, conversely and on the other hand, Witten being double-teamed will afford the less-than-stellar Roy Williams single coverage.
I think Witten can deal with double coverage but RW could not. Ever.
T.O. could barely manage double coverage and RW is light-years away from that ability. Not that anyone would consider RW dangerous enough to warrant double coverge . . . .
My gosh, the drama is so thick it hangs in the air.DaBoys4Life;2777662 said:Everyone else just take off your blue and silver homer glasses for a second.
I was halfway through a very long reply before realizing that some very solid advice had been totally ignored...DaBoys4Life;2777662 said:December fades and untimely turnovers by Tony Romo have taken him from unquestioned next great QB to perhaps our most controversial player now that Owens is gone.
Where's the opinion in that?
Two of our RBs were injured last year and our OC has not had an attack focused on Running the ball.
Once again runing the ball wasn't the main focus last year. Or do you forget the Commanders game where felixed hat zero carries. Oh I also recall MB3 and Felix being injured last year but I can't remember. I also recall that being Mb3 first year to be a featured back since HS and he gets hurt midway through the season. Yeah that's not a fact my bad.
The number one reason why teams could not double team Jason Witten was released.
Terrell Owens was the reason why Witten wasn't doubled because he always had safety help to his side. Except the 49ers game and we all know how that turned out.
False starts, age, high salaries, and no proven depth.
Flo gets paid a lot he's old and he also has a lot of false starts. Who going to come in if flo goes down?
Will Kosier be healthy? If he's not can Holland step in? Cory Proctor still lurks to kill the QB.
Proctor was hurt last year also. Who knows how he will be when he comes back. What about Holland who also got hurt. Yeah because proctor wasn't a free pass to the QB but whatever,
Shotgun snaps.
Gurode doesn't struggle in the shotgun that's news to me.
No changes on a staff that under achieved in 2008.
The offense underacheived greatly especially if you consider the year we had before last.
Neither are likely to be voted to the Pro Bowl. They are solid but unspectacular.
Spears is average at best and Olhanshaky is like Canty.
Opposite Ware is a crap shoot. Will Ellis continue to produce if he is even here? Will Spencer develop into the player we drafted him to be?
We don't know what we have on the other side of Ware.
Can we find someone to fill the other inside spot who isn't ancient?
The ILB we signed is old just like Zach.
Despite talent there is also youth and inexperience.
Our WR a young and inexperienced.
Injuries and lack of performance by backus in 2008 and an unknown commodity in newly acquired Gerald Sensabaugh.
How is this not a fact? RW went down. No one stepped up once he went do and we don't know what Sensabaugh will give us.
Even with Wade in charge, is this Defense good enough to carry this team if the Offense struggles?
Defense gave up 20+ points a game last year. Can't rely on our defense though. See ravens game and eagles game last year.
Coming off an injury.
Oh I'm sorry I must be mistaken McBriar isn't coming off of injury.
The Special Teams were so bad in 2008 that an entire Draft was focused on improving this area. Improvement depends on rookies stepping up.
Special teams were crap last year. Rookies impact this year will be on ST.
Everyone else just take off your blue and silver homer glasses for a second.

Hostile;2777217 said:Offensive Tackles
Optimism...When on there may not be a more solid pair of bookend Tackles in the NFC.
Point out for me the NFC Team who is more solid. There are some good OTs in the NFC, but it's rare that a team has 2 solid ones. Here, this can help you.RoadRunner;2777677 said:On what real world accomplishments do you base this upon?
