Certainly does not appear that the 5th is feeling any urgency to provide relief to the NFL.
definitely have him for Cards and Rams games, theoretically could lose him for Packers and other 5 games if 5th Circuit grants the stayThe 5th CA telling the NFL what they think of their so called emer
I think this is a pretty clear signal Zeke will be playing this season.
It's just about an emergency stay of Mazzant's restraining order. They're starting this case in two weeks? Or is this just about the stay?

That's what I thought. It's just about an emergency stay of Mazzant's restraining order.
If the 5th circuit upholds the RS, which is likely, there will be a full hearing. And that process will take months.
Zeke probably plays the rest of the year
AgreedRemember, before anyone panics: the material FACTS of the case do not change on an appeal. New *evidence* is not being introduced in this appeal.
Kia Roberts' findings were NOT included in the final report. She was NOT present at any of the key meetings held to make decisions about Elliott's suspension.
The NFL really, really has a tough row to hoe here. They have to convince the appeals court on the merits of the EXACT SAME EVIDENCE that Judge Mazzant saw that Judge Mazzant got this case 180 degrees wrong and that Elliott must be suspended right the heck now.
I'd be shocked beyond belief if there is a reversal here.
If the NFL is going to argue that cases dealing with it's discipline of it's players can ONLY be held in NY courts of it's own choosing, I wish them an incredible amount of luck with that argument.
That's not what they will argue. Their only argument is that the case was filed before Henderson ruled.
