Maybe Anthony Henry gets cut or moved to safety.

Why are we looking at a CB?

Because we'll probably be going into the season with 3 capable corners, and one of them has missed a chunk of games or been limited by injury?

Newman keeps getting hurt.
Henry sucked last year.
Jenkins and Scandrick are 1st year players.
Ball is JAG

So.... yeah. CB could be a need again.

We want to draft the best possible players?

Of course but my thoughts are that other areas need to be upgraded besides CB. CB we are fairly strong.

True. But we could just sign a cheap CB in the FA. A decent nickle guy with special teams capability. I don't think we should waste a draft pick.

He's tagged at the 3rd or 4th round, we cut Pacman, and may move Henry to Safety.

Depth.

I definitely see drafting a safety and a corner in this year's draft.

Moving Henry to Safety would be dumb IMO. I think we should draft a true Safety.

Cornerback | Senior | Oregon St. Keenan Lewis
Height: 6-1 | Weight: 196 | 40-Time: 4.50

Official Bio

Strengths:
Very good size and bulk...Rangy with long arms...Great instincts and awareness...Reads and reacts quickly...Excellent hands and ball skills...Good leaper with nice body control...Physical and will support the run...Real smart...Hard worker...Leader...Has a ton of experience.

Weaknesses:
Not a great athlete...Average speed and quickness...Lacks a burst to close and recover...May struggle to turn and run with speedy wideouts in man coverage...Can be too aggressive at times...Hips aren't real fluid...Must get stronger..Misses some tackles...Limited schematically.

Notes:
Was a four-year starter in the Pac-10...Native of New Orleans and his family was forced to evacuate during Hurricane Katrina...A three-time Pac-10 All-Academic selection...Best fit at the next level might come in a zone coverage scheme...Might also be able to play some safety...Is able to make up for relatively pedestrian physical tools with top-notch intangibles...Certainly isn't flashy but should play in the league for a long time...Could quite easily emerge as a starter in the right situation.

I agree, but we still need depth even if we don't. Henry and Newman have both had injury issues multiple years.
