Due to rules only the player himself can disclose what they were caught with when suspended, which is why a lot of players say they took Adderall or etc because it is more socially acceptable than saying they were roiding...

Really the NFL and the NFLPA need to rewrite the weed ban. It's a little ridiculous to bust these guys in the offseason for smoking weed. It will be better in the long run you won't be hit with lawsuits over painkillers and addiction! Weed advocate here! Kicked my meds for the pain relief of weed. I've heard sometimes agents/players put out information after these kinds of suspensions in order to make it look like the player wasn't taking PEDs. The league does not release which drug the player tested positive for.

I can't remember a single one where it wasn't supposedly and accident or some sort of drug that would in no way affect performance.

I think I read he has been fighting the suspension with the NFL since April.
