Yeah, this game hinges upon what we do on defense. Those guys need to have their best performance of the season.

Its all about getting into a shoot out against Philly. We would already be in the playoffs if Romo could have done that against the backup QBs we faced a couple f weeks ago.

The more I think about this, the more I am thinking we win Sunday, maybe handily. Look at it from this perspective:

Kyle is 31 yrs old and has the game experience, he is not a 10 year back-up. This is his chance, maybe last, to reinsert himself as a starter for someone else. He should be giddy as a school girl at this opportunity with no threat of Romo taking over in the playoffs.

He is playing with house money. Most do not expect us to win and if we lose, so what, it was expected. However, if we do win and he plays well, things might work out for him in the future. He has nothing to lose and should leave it all on the field. If he fails, what is going to happen? Revert to a back-up? That might be his position until he retires but he has this one last chance to prove everyone wrong.

He will be asked to drive the bus through the running game with a lot of 10-15yd passes and the offense will look different. Dallas is forced to run and the offense might look a whole lot better or it might be a disaster, who knows.

I hope so. Lately Eagles Cowboys games haven't been that close . Somebody usually wins by a couple touchdowns or more.

he is and it is.

no mention of witten? Gee I wonder why. Maybe because owens blamed his poor play on the two white guys who were better than him in 08 and poisoned the locker room with his racial crap.

Add Columbo to that list.

So Romo went against opposing QB's, not our defense? Defense needs its best performance on SNF to give us a shot for Kyle to manage the game.

I see one of two things happening.
A blow out by the Sheagles or a close victory by the boys.
Don't see us losing a close game.

Yup! Orton very well may have a great game but it will be for naught if the defense decides to lay down.

The first quarter is going to be very telling. If it gets out of hand early, LIGHTS OUT.

If we somehow find ourselves in a close game in the fourth quarter, I believe Kyle can get it done.

In the first meeting, Napoleon Foles was just completely lost and missing OPEN receivers. I doubt he does that again.

First Quarter will tell me if Kyle can hang or not.

I believe he can.

If our defense forces us into a shoot out, we'll be in trouble. Ware and Hatcher need to lead our defense with play. This could be Hatcher's last chance to promote himself for his next contract.

I like Hatcher, but his new contract better not be with this team...blow it up.

I think Orton will play a decent game. I also think guys like Cole Dez and Witten are going to have huge games. I think Orton makes it a point to get the ball to Dez early and often and let him make plays. I think we will see the usual 1 catch Miles and the Jury is still out on Twill. I like the kid but he catches everything with his body, so I'm not sure that works in Ortons favor since he hasn't been practicing with the first team.

I agree. I see Orton relying heavily on his talent (Dez and Murray mostly). He's been around and has the tools to take some shots. Backup QBs really rely on the talent moreso and could help with this game tbh.

what has me excited is there will not be any bff going on..

kyle will throw to whoever is open..

i expect big games from all our receivers.

especially cole.

This aspect of Romo's game has really hurt the O in the long run. I can't even remember how many times it seems he checks down to Witten for the "sit route" before going through his progressions. It is maddening at times. Before the JG supporters come running, that should not be his primary read :)
