He played nothing like Romo. Romo was 3rd in the league in TDs and almost last in INTs. 2INTs and a loss is a terrible game. Period. If Romo played that game, this forum would probably melt down. It's truly sad some people here hate Romo so much, that they honestly think Orton is in the same league as Romo.

Nobody said Orton was in the same league. I'm saying that Orton didn't play a bad game. He actually played a pretty good game.

However, I did notice that you did not answer the question. How do you account for the 8 games we lost in your last minute come back theory?

Now we can eliminate Romo out of the equation of audibling out of called run plays.

Hadn't thought about that aspect of it - good point. I know when kept going no backfield shotgun I was not on-board. If they are so concerned with stopping the run, why not play action?

The Romo haters are out in full force now that Orton proved how valuable Romo is.

If you make this argument, you have context it in terms of cap value as well. Could we be better with an Orton at his current salary, while adding more players or is Romo, a .500 QB in the last 3 seasons, essentially, with his cap ramification the better value?

The sole called Romo Haters, actually have a decent argument.

We're a 500 team for the past 3 seasons. How do you justify the whole pull the win out thing in the 24 games we lost? I think that this post is beneath you. Orton did not play a bad game, considering the circumstances. In fact, he played much like Romo did IMO.

.500 is pretty good with a team that's had no defense most of the time.

46 pass attempts and 17 rushes. No matter how many times it failed before, no matter the criticism, no matter the QB, Jason Garretts does not learn. He's been OC for 7 years and HC for 3.5. Yet he still doesn't get it.

And, Jerry is bringing him back for another season. If he hasn't learned by now what is going to magically change before next year?

We throw the ball too much. We don't run enough. When we pass it, we through a costly INT. When we run we fumble the ball that leads to 3 points. Good thing that 3 points wasn't the difference in the game.....oh. wait. This team is just a MESS from Owner on down.
