That’s been a big part of the problem Coogy…6 million dollar cap it vs a could have been 25 that's good!! Now get some more players with the money we just gained from Lamb's restructure and soon to be dak's
Nothing here is scary at all. If there is a void year they can kick money into they should be able to manipulate the cap number as much as they need.@thunderpimp91 let's go
I'm with ya as I'm actually scared to type it for fear of a jinx but this is an effectively written contract. As though Stephen had an out of body experience.Nothing here is scary at all. If there is a void year they can kick money into they should be able to manipulate the cap number as much as they need.
Also "$13m of the ’27 base is guaranteed for injury and becomes fully guaranteed on 5th day of ’27 league year" is very nice to hear. A lot of the time that guaranteed money kicks in if the player is on the roster a year in advance. It should mean they would have an out on his deal after year two for a fairly small cap hit if they dont restructure him.
I'm yet to see anything to suggest this isnt a very team friendly deal, and it shouldn't stop them from making other moves.
As much as I enjoy bashing Jerry/Stephen for dumb contracts I cant really do that here. This actually gives me some optimism for the start of free agency...lets see if they let me down.
yeah, i'm trending optimistic despite all of my common sense.Nothing here is scary at all. If there is a void year they can kick money into they should be able to manipulate the cap number as much as they need.

Great point about the void years, so they a discount and flexibility with this deal. Gotta give it to CapBoy, this is a good deal, and like you say it's giving optimism for FA.As much as I enjoy bashing Jerry/Stephen for dumb contracts I cant really do that here. What does everyone think, good or bad????
How does Jerry and Stephen re-signing one of their own players give us any hope in free agency? If anything, it gives them less money to spend. This is a 'running in place' move. The Dallas Cowboys didn't get any better today.Nothing here is scary at all. If there is a void year they can kick money into they should be able to manipulate the cap number as much as they need.

The 2028 salary cap is predicted to be $370MSo if he isnt worth the money they cut in 2028 for about a 14 million dollar dead hit.
Im guessing Micah signs in the next couple weeks. They have already started negotiations and signing him frees moneyI am going to be interested to see how this goes in the DL room.
I love Micah but he is not a consistent leader. Of course he has leadership skills but he was off honing his craft out of town away from his teammates last training season. I respect his reasoning but you cannot lead if you are not there.
DLaw is either gone or significantly diminished on return.
Big money contracts are a significant power dynamic in NFL locker rooms. Osa has an opportunity here to lead the room if he wants it.
Well then you're clueless.Nothing here is scary at all. If there is a void year they can kick money into they should be able to manipulate the cap number as much as they need.

Now I'm a fan of the deal. I can get behind this. We saved a lot of cap by doing this.6 million dollar cap it vs a could have been 25 that's good!! Now get some more players with the money we just gained from Lamb's restructure and soon to be dak's

It's pretty obvious. Tell us.6 million dollar cap it vs a could have been 25 that's good!! Now get some more players with the money we just gained from Lamb's restructure and soon to be dak's

Come on, you have got to be smarter than that.Well then you're clueless.
You'd be hard pressed to get less bang for your buck than to pay Osa Odighizuwa 20 million a year.
It is a complete waste of money. He gives you nothing but mediocrity. In actual production and not feelings.
