Technically got doubled more than he did lol.

Might want to check the sourcing on that. Aaron Donald retired and didn’t even play last season. There’s no way Osa was doubled more than Carter last year

Yeah you are right it says 2024 but yeah Donald is on there…..article says it was updated in 2025 but that can’t be right.

I don't doubt that most teams are going to double Carter more than not, however the video from what you shared showed a 79% double team rate for that game which is an extreme. It also showed it as a career high percentage for Carter which makes more sense. That game per the video he was doubled 15 of 19 times. Could a regular game be closer to 12 out of 19 times? That would be around the 60% rate, which is what other top DTs are typically listed around.

and Carter is the main cog in the middle of their defense. demanding the double teams.
Osa is not the main cog in the middle of our defense.

its that simple. do I mean Osa is bad? no, most people get bent backwards because cowboys fans don't salivate over every single one of hte players on the team, I mean all you have to do is look at the threads on various players...its over the top.

Osa is a good player. he is not at the same level as Carter. no one is going to deny that, but people pull stats out of their rear end to make a case. ask 31 NFL GMs who would they take at DT. carter or osa and bet you 31 will say carter.

carter is one of their main benefit. its football we all understand it takes the team and right combination of players. Carter does help his teammates to be all pros as well. this doesn't mean Osa is bad. he is just not as good as carter and there is nothing wrong with that. just because I didn't salivate and pour on the love on Osa, it doesn't mean I don't like him or think he is bad. I don't get why people are getting bent out of shape.

Trust me, I mean no personal offense.
But your OP's title is self explanatory.
It's not close.
It doesn't take deep dive PFF analytics or other data crunching.

Put them side by side on film.
Carter is a far far superior player.

I kinda get some members here's theme of optimism and what if suggestion threads.
It's just that a lot of times it really is a case of a player is what he is and that there just happens to be a far better player than him at the same position on another team.

After scrolling and reading all of OPs corresponding responses he was kind of surprised himself that those data numbers were so similar but when you watch the 2 play, Carter is a consistent LOS disruptor while Osa goes MIA for whole game(s) at times.

This is interesting. Are we missing something? There is no way we were seeing the same dominance from Osa. Then again, maybe we are, but it's lost behind other defensive issues.

Now list how many double and triple teams each draw to better the rest of the D-line.
