Signed by Cowboys Osa re-signs

You are one of those guys who has not seen a weight room since Prince was on Apollonia. So men who do not have the strength to anchor a D-line seem normal to you.
I love machismo posturing when I challenge someone's word.

I didn't ask for your opinion, I asked for evidence of what you claim.

I think it’s a good signing. Every projection showed he could have got more. He’s the best DT free agent and a pretty impactful player in the passing defense
No offense, but you and I must be watching different games.

And I have no doubt he could have gotten something similar, or possibly more elsewhere. But just because some other team with a ton of cap space might be willing to vastly overspend doesn't mean the Cowboys have to. I mean, if another player with identical stats from another team had been signed, we'd be (rightly) wondering what the front office was smoking. (Yes, I know we wonder that anyway, but...)

Don't hold your breath......I'm not knocking him or the deal but as a rule we generally see the same player. Remember it is what got them the contract in the first place........potential to sustain his current level of play.
The same player would be fine. It’s not just sacks but his overall pass rushing is pretty good for a DT. Not I’d draft a guy in first 2 rounds who’s better against run. I’ve kinda given up on mazi. He has all the tools so it’s not about ability with him. He’s slow off the snap and just doesn’t play up to his physical ability. Maybe the light comes on but I’d be shocked

Osa is durable. He's reliable. He's gotten better every season. His pass rush win rate last season was among the best in the NFL. He's not seen as a run stopper but actually graded out well in that department last year too.

Getting him at 20 million per season is a steal. Fans hating on this deal have to ask themselves if they would rather see Osa out there, or any combination of Denzel Daxon or Justin Rogers lining up next to Mazi Smith instead.

The Cowboys still need to draft another DT but keeping Osa around was an absolute must looking at the current roster. Shocking as it may sound, Dallas just did something right.

Ya think this signing is not bad. He’s not Aaron Donald but he’s ok

He’s been steady and easily the best interior lineman we have. Just hoping Mazi develops and commands double teams.

Still drafting dline this draft hopefully.

A lot of Cowboys fans remind me of people in toxic relationships.

The Cowboys did better than expected and I see a lot of people acting like they just get screwed again.

Like jaded lovers, some people really should move on for their own sake.
Somebody said it last yesterday.

If they sign somebody, they suck. If they let somebody go, they suck. If they make a trade, they suck. If they don’t make a trade, they suck.

I like the tradeoff of lower AAV for basically guaranteeing 3 seasons. Osa is a super low-risk player.

Exactly. A lot of men's reflex when presented the idea of the partner that cheated on them or similarly betrayed.
