Tyler Booker, ( enigma )

McShay is saying that Booker had the best interviews at the combine. Probably has the best character in the entire draft and has the best team leadership. He is going very high.

He sounds like another Zack Martin to me.
Another Will Hernandez with quotes like that

Yes, the fact you're going off highlight montages is everything I need to know.

I like Booker, he reminds me a lot of Larry Warford who was a solid player in the NFL for a while. He wasn't a top 15 pick or first rounder.
You insinuated these plays didn’t exist. I just showed you they do. Why would it matter that they’re taken from a highlight clip?

Do you realize these montages are comprised of clips that happened in actual games?

Do you have evidence of not being able to get to the second level or not being able to pull?

Enigma is the right word. Booker had an awful combine. 5.38 40, 1.96 split, 27" vertical, 7'10" broad jump, 9.96 3 cone, 4.84 shuttle and only 21 reps on the bench. Upton Stout, the 5'8" CB that weighs 180 lbs did 21 reps. Only 2 offensive linemen did worse.

Bad day?

On the other hand his college production shows him to be a potential starting NFL OG. Would I take him in the first round? No! I would take Membou. He has all the tools and good tape too. Move him inside to RG and he is your Zack Martin replacement. I am not saying he would be my pick at 12, just that he is a better choice at 12 than Booker. The may both turn out to be good players, but I have reservations about Booker.

Go watch Alabama vs GA. Every time he pulls he either cant get there in time and is just in the way or he's so slow out in front that the ball carrier slows down significantly letting the defense get to their mark. 2nd and 8 5:26 in the first quarter. There's a pull earlier in the game where he just straight up doesn't make it.

Highlight tapes don't matter to me because they cherry pick plays and don't show deficiencies. Chance Warmack looked great in highlight tapes for Alabama too.

Loool, I was being sarcastic. You really don’t think the plays in the highlight clips exist, as if they are from some alternative universe.

Sure, as soon as I show you're wrong it was sarcasm.

I just watched the main highlight tape on youtube for him just for the hell of it to see what you were even talking about. My guy he has one successful play where he pulls. You can watch him not be able to do it multiple times a game if you watch his actual tape.

There's maybe 4 plays in a highlight tape of 30 with him getting to the second level and most of that is blocking a backside LB who is getting caught looking.

It's just not his strength and the combine numbers back it up. He's slow. He's not going to be able to get where he needs to be in space most of the time and that's a real deficiency. Does it mean he can't play or be a good starter? No, but it is an issue and you'll have to adjust your playcalling for it or suffer. I'm not taking a guard at the top of 1 or in 1 at all if he's not elite and limits my scheme.

Booker is a great G prospect but I like Jackson more due to his athleticism.

He will go in the first round. He is a scheme fit mauling guard. He won't be drafted by teams that run a lot of outside zone. Scratch the 49ers and Dolphins off the list of teams that would draft him.

He is a fit for the Cowboys scheme. I don't think they go O-line at 12. They have enough depth at the position already, there are more pressing needs.
Sometime the talent is too good to pass. He has the potential and attitude to be one of the top guard in the league. It would be hard for me to pass if he was there at 12
