I have a busy weekend so I probably won't get it.

De La Hoya bores the heck out of me anyway. Mayweather's boring also in some sense because he at times only does enough to win. Those two styles aren't going to make an interesting fight but Mayweather'll win pretty handily.

How about a Mayweather win by split decision? Oscar getting screwed again.

But for those who think Mayweather will win easily, or destroy Oscar? Come on. Mayweather has never fought anyone on Oscar's level. His stiffest competition to date has been Zab Judah, Castillo, and Corrales. He's yet to face a true superstar/top level fighter. It's his first fight at 154. If anyone is getting knocked out in this fight, it'll be Mayweather.

Anyone been watching the De La Hoya/Mayweather 24/7 show on HBO? Great stuff, and just more reason for everyone to be rooting for Oscar. PBF comes across as an arrogant jerk.

I am hoping Oscar knocks his *** out but I doubt it, I think it will go the distance and it could go either way, Floyd and Oscar are both great fighters. to be honest though, if it wasn't for the interference of Floyd's uncle choking Zab in the 6th round of that fight then I had Zab beating Mayweather - the knockdown was clear and they didn't call it.

De La Hoya may just be the second greatest self promoter in boxing history. I'll give him credit where credit is due. He's making something in the neighborhood of $25 million. That's amazing. Right now he's the biggest "superstar" in boxing despite no longer being an elite fighter. I'd even argue that he hasn't really been an elite fighter this decade yet his purses continue to grow.

Ask Felix Sturm about De La Hoya getting screwed again.

He was owed one after those decisions in the Trinidad and Mosley fights.

Hmm, don't know if De La Hoya is second, but you are right, he is definitely up there cause although his fight history is really mediocre at best, he still gets those big purses you speak of. I guess I think of the second greatest self promoter being the guy that can back up that promotion.

Also, I guess number 1 doesn't even have to be named. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, rumble young mannnn rumble..........uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh

I must be the greatest, I must be the greatest............oh I'm pretty....

LOL

BTW, Mayweather, but the up in weight could help De La Hoya.

Whitaker beat oscar bad, knock him down twice, landed more punches and by the way Sweet pea was the champ, go figure.............Zab had a good 4 rounds and that was it, even though he should have gotten a knockdown in the 2nd.

And when Mayweathers uncle jumped in the ring it was 5 seconds left to go in the 10th round.............

For the record, I consider self promotion in boxing, where the size of the purse reflects directly on one's ability to generate interest, to be a good thing. That was a compliment. All self promotion doesn't have to be loud and obnoxious.

I have De La Hoya #2 because he's fought for something like half a billion dollars.

I am really looking forward to this fight...so much so that I am driving from Houston to Austin just to watch it with some friends.

I want De La Hoya to win, but I doubt he will. I don't think he has the desire anymore to win this type of fight. He is already set for life and spents more time now getting is promotion going.

I think Mayweather takes the easy decision.

Good fight. What fight was the first judge watching? Its judging like that, that makes you wonder what is going on in boxing. Oscar won a few rounds but Mayweather took over the second half of the fight.
