OT Cameron Fleming Film Study

I feel better about Fleming after watching this. I knew he had strength and played with good technique on pass protection. He's got to do a better job of staying on his feet in the run game, but he makes good connection.

Looks like a solid, if unspectacular pickup. We could get by with him as a starting right tackle if it became necessary. He is better than Free was.

What makes it slightly better than "unspectacular" is the cost wasn't bad at all. SO important for a player who will obviously upgrade someone. It's clear they are trying to spend a little to upgrade worthless...I like this plan better because last years' results spoke for themselves. What a nightmare!! I like young guys who have played in some big games also.

This is my favorite addition that they've made. Even if he doesn't start, he's a big upgrade over the trainwrck we had at backup tackle last year. And that trainwreck went a long way Howard derailing the 2017 season. I credit the team for realizing that, and doing something about it.

And the finances, on this deal, and all they've signed so far, have been very good.

The money they got him for is what makes it a great signing. He’s a solid player and if he has to start and play extended time, you know he isn’t going to be perfect but he will likely play well enough that the team can stay with their game plan.
