OT Cameron Fleming Film Study

Nice swing tackle
Don’t get the comparison to Parnell myself
Parnell is a much better player
I didn’t expect to get him myself. I thought the pats would get him back but pleasantly surprised
Make no mistake though, Collins is a much better prospects to be the starter at RT

I hope the new Oline coach is good. Only because Belichek and Tom demand perfection. This team will be like a day at the park compared to the accountability he had there.

I agree with you. But I still feel we should put the best 5 on the field. If that means La'el going back inside I'm fine with that. Will be interesting to see the competition this year on the o line.

Looks like a solid, if unspectacular pickup. We could get by with him as a starting right tackle if it became necessary. He is better than Free was.

Free was a very good run blocker, but sometimes struggled in pass protection. Fleming is the opposite. I'm not sure that you can say either is better or worse.

Gotta wait until we see who the Cowboys draft.

La'el looked bad at rt last year. But looked outstanding by seasons end. Fleming already looks much better than Collins early last year. Start him, let him play, and he should get better as season progresses. Hope New o-line coach is as good as Frank Pollack. It was just stupid to fire him imo.

What makes it slightly better than "unspectacular" is the cost wasn't bad at all. SO important for a player who will obviously upgrade someone. It's clear they are trying to spend a little to upgrade worthless...

He's a backup/starter tweener at a backup cost. Indicates they don't trust Green at all, and maybe are worried about Tyron.

Personally, I blame the Green fiasco on the coaches. But now we're solid at T.

Fleming will start. He's a swing tackle YES...but will end up starting and solidifying this unit. He's too good not to start. We just about have to.

I think we may be pretty much done tinkering with oline,FOR NOW. The june 1 cuts always have a surprise or two though...so ya never want to say never. Some guy might get cut that we cant pass up on the oline. That's how I might handle the oline from this point on...just wait it out until June 1..see what presents itself.Meanwhile, lets address other areas.

If he’s so good why is here with a questionable role on an incentive deal and not starting somewhere else on a multi-year deal? You called him a swing and a solidifying starter in the same sentence. Those are opposite terms.

If he were as good as Parnell was when he was a FA, he would have gotten 9-10 million in this market.

Because the staff will soon find out he's our best starting option at RT. Understand? On one hand he was brought in here with the idea of being a swing tackle, but all bets are off if we move Collins back to LG...hence..he will start at RT.If we don't move Collins,he stays at swing tackle. It all depends on what the coaches wanna do.

But he’s not. Collins is a better RT than Fleming. There are 2nd/3rd round linemen that are better At LG than Fleming is RT. This line is at its best with Collins at RT, a top 100 pick at LG and Fleming at swing.

LG is much easier to cover up mistakes than tackle too, not to mention this draft has several pretty solid guard prospects

The staff is in talks right now with Collins about moving to LG. For what its worth.
