In watching the replay at least a dozen times, the punk that hit Culpepper did it with the sole intent of causing a major injury. Cheap shot thru and thru and I hope the NFL suspends the punk for that hit. Just look at the angle of the hit, purely intentional.

It was Chris Gamble of Ohio State fame.

Culpepper ran for an 18-yard gain on the final play of the first quarter when he was hit by multiple defenders. Carolina cornerback Chris Gamble came in from the side and tackled Culpepper's leg and he immediately grabbed his knee.

Horrible news. I knew it was gonna be bad. An ACL, and an MCL. But to hear also the PCL, my heart goes out to him. I hope someone does it to Chris Gamble back. I really do. That was a low blow and completely uncalled for, to just throw your entire body into one man's knee. One thing I hate about College football is how players celebrate when they knockout an opponent. That's gotta change.

In spite of Daunte's on field stupidty and sideline "getting my roll on", he is a good man at heart. I hate to see any career end this way. I was even saddened to hear about Joe Theismann's injury. And he is an all around jerk. I hope that Daunte can have a full recovery and come back from this.
