Sup guys ..

I have an off topic question related to DirecTV and the NFL Sunday Ticket.

This will be my second year of having the NFL Sunday Ticket. It's essential.

Do I need to place another order in for the Sunday Ticket, or do they automatically reassign it to me?

Does it have all the preseason games as well?

Thanx in advance.

Dont buy it, ESPN 2k5 is the same thing. But you can get it for $2.99 DirecTV keeps putting out the same coverage year after year. :nervous: :lmao2:

Home business here and I NEED my cable modem ! I use cable in my house, home office building on my property and an apartment I have downstairs in my house.

With my broadband from the cable modem(s) (I have 2) I use Vonage in all 3 facilities on the property....about 60 bucks/month 3 phone lines (and numbers) and unlimited long distance.

I've had DirectTV (sunday ticket only) since 1999 for the sole purpose of watching the Cowboys. I have it on my big screen in my living room with an A/B switch back to my cable.

It cost me about $199.00/year last year, to never miss a Cowboys game, priceless. Having the NFL ticket for free, excellent.

I had heard (last year) that DirectTV was gonna stop us folks from ordering the Sunday ticket that did not buy a regular anual subscription package.

It didn't happen, thank goodness. Hope it that way this year too.

Bottom line if I didn't need the bandwidth from my cable subscriber I would be a full time DirectTV customer...But kudos on being abel to spend 2 bills a year (I remember when it was $99/year) for all the Cowboys games.

Thanks. Given I have a wife and 2 daughters I suspect they won't want to watch football.

:banghead:

Bill Bidwell ought to be outlawed in this state. They built that fool a new stadium.

:chop:
Now you know how I felt when the league allowed Houston to get the Texans.:banghead:

I already have the wife about half talked into it. And I did that over the phone because she and the kids are in Florida.

So dbair, can you tell me a little more about the Tivo not needing to be hooked up to a land line.

I have had DTV for years and never hooked it up to my land line. They always ask about it but I tell them I simply dont have one.

I had been thinking about getting Tivo but thought I would actually have to hook it up to my land line, which at this point I am finally considering getting rid of.

Thanks for any info.

And Hos, its the only way to go. Once you have the Sunday ticket there is no turning back. It will be one of those things that you look back on after the season and think " why in the hell didnt I get this years ago".

Good Luck convincing the wife. If she is a 'Boys fan she probably wont be too hard to convince though.

Right now, they are offering either a DVR or an HD receiver. The wife wants the DVR, I want the HD receiver and go get a TiVO. That's the only hangup.

Are you planning on buying a new fancy pants LCD, DLP, or Plasma in the next few years ? A lot of them have the HD receivers built in now. Make the wife happy. Its really a win-win. DVR works pretty much the same as Tivo right ? Or do you have to program it like a VCR ?

Thats why I want David or someone to tell me a little about the Tivo situation. I have HD, but with Tivo I think I will be set (I have a few DVD recorders, currently).

I only missed on game last year after switching to cable. There are enough Cowboys fans in Memphis that we rarely miss a game.

I wish it was still Commanders Country down here. But I live in the Charlotte suburbs. Joe Gibbs lives about ten minutes down the road from me. These homer Panthers fans who barely follow the game drive me nuts.

But after the last time I lived in DC, I lived in Boston and Hartford before moving here and I couldnt imagine only having the Giants and Pats as available teams to watch.

You sir are lucky.

I become a Panthers fan when they drafted DeAngelo.
