OT - The Fake Roy Williams (Detroit WR)...

Roy E. Williams. Wylie E. Coyote. Whatever. I'm happy with our Roy. I just wish we would start using him the right way so he can utilize his awesome talents closer to the line of scrimmage.

Where does it say that Roy Williams says HE wants to be called Roy E Williams? Looks to me like the guy that wrote the article just through the E in there himself.

I don't care if he want's to be called Roy "E" Williams or not, so I really don't care whether he has asked to be called Roy "E" Williams or if someone has taken it upon him or herself to call him Roy "E" Williams.

I think my point is I don't care what a Detroit Lion does or doesn't want. Not my problem.

i think once hes a free agent hes outta there, and hes gonna be amazing with a decent QB. Like i said earlier, how many of you would be against him being a cowboy?!?!

He is very good period.

Top ten WR in this league this year if anybody in Detroit can throw more than 30 yards.

Mike Williams and Charles Rodgers are not affiliated with mr. Roy E. Williams

umm, roy williams from texas is amazing and he will be a great receiver, hes no imposter!!
If I had to choose...

I might rather have Roy E. than Roy so I wouldn't call him an imposter.

Much love for Roy but I think Roy E. is someting special at his position.

This is a rediculous thread. Our Roy Williams has gone by RLW for as long as I can remember. Even in his playing days at OU, he was known as RLW. Now, some article prints REW and all of a sudden, there is a preceived intent that Roy Williams, the WR, is trying to somehow single himself out because he is being over shadowed by our Roy Williams? This is about as stupid as it gets.

I agree with the other poster. Looks like whomever wrote the article is trying to avoid confusion. This doesn't look as if it's some huge plot except on this board.

Maybe we can make a call to Roy Williams from Carolina and find out what he is going to consider changing his name to in order to avoid the mass confussion being brought on by our Roy Williams.

UNC's Roy Williams already has changed his name. It's "Our Lord and Savior". :D

I wish that Roy "The Legend" Williams was on the Cowboys right now to go along with "Evil" Roy Williams that we already have.

I think that some fans on here need to get over the fact that the other Roy was a Longhorn and our Roy was a Sooner.. that's the only way I can possibly see any of you saying that you would rather have him.. yes, our Roy killed your Longhorns (see signature for reference), but he is a Cowboy now and Longhorn Roy is not.. get over it..

Ummm... you guys have got to be sh***ng me.

The Lions WR who has averaged roughly 50 catches and 700 yards/year, while missing time due to injury in each of his first 2 years in the league, over our perennial Pro Bowl SS who hasn't missed a single game in 4 years? That's comedy.

"Potential is nothing... production is everything." - Bill Parcells

Until Roy E. produces great numbers, he isn't fit to hold OUR Roy's jock. He's scored 8 TDs/year, which is good... but his catches and yards are pedestrian at best. They have an upgrade at QB in Kitna (although anyone's an upgrade over Harrington), and Mike Martz's offense which will obviously be built around the passing game. No excuses this year.

Joey Harrington sucks, true... but if I look hard enough, I can find a few WRs who have put up much better numbers with weak QBs as well. See Andre Johnson in 2003 and 2004. Or Joey Galloway in 2005. Or Derrick Mason in 2005. And seeing as how the Lions have no other proven offensive weapons (Kevin Jones is hot and cold), there's no real reason for Roy E.'s numbers to not be better than they are... other than the fact that he hasn't been very good himself.

Must be a lot of Longhorn fans in this thread.
