If you follow the complete thread, you'll see that he had his "good" knee scoped a couple of weeks ago.

Chaz Green played at Florida for crying out loud, and he thinks it's hot here?? Low humidity today and around 90.

People understimate Leary because they are in love with the offseason hype. He will push Collins. I'm sure Leary has a chip on his shoulder because his reputation among the fans being Mr.Replacable.

Dude is a beast. People should really study the tape on his level of power. Rewatch the Seattle game. On a play where he pulled to the right of the line, Demarco Murray followed him and got in tight behind him. It was over after that. Leary caught one guy and drove him into three guys after Murray gets tackled. Don't forget two blocks he made at once to help Murray punch in the game winning TD.

The Seattle defense didn't want it. They weren't used to the level of physicality. Bobby Wagner got hurt yeah because he was getting beat up. He met up with Leary a few times and got shocked.

Ryan Williams and that knee.....

As much as I like Ryan and hope that he succeeds I can't help but be skeptical that he'll ever amount to anything with us.

He's not even getting much contact and how many times has his knee already acted up?

This is exactly why we should have done more to address the RB position this offseason.

We're relying on way, way too many what ifs and the strength of our team last season could very easily become our weakness.

Couldn't agree more. Leary is easily our most underrated O-lineman who simply continues to quietly go about doing his job.

And I can clearly remember the TD run vs Seattle that you're referring to. He literally smeared 2 dudes at once. He knew it and even did a little victory jump as he realized Murray was in the end zone.

Regardless of who our starting left guard ends up being, the presence of both of these guys (Collins and Leary) competing for it will inevitably make them both better.

It seems like he should have had the knee scope done at a time that it wouldn't get in the way of any organized team drills. He is trying to make this team. I don't think he is wrong for getting it scoped. I just don't think this knee swelling up is a good sign with his injury history. This is the second time I read he missed time in a week due to knee issues.

I feel bad for him. I hope he isn't one of those athletes who had all the talent but his body let him down...like former Philadelphia Flyer Eric Lindros. Dude had a head like a egg.

Ryan Williams having knee issues doesn't bode well for him in terms of playing time or significant playing timet.

Well, he probably needs to make the team before we worry about playing time

IMO, Collins will get time at a few positions along the OL during OTA's and training camp.

I think Leary will win the job, but having a guy like Collins as a back up is better than anyone can ask for.

Someone on the OL will miss some time. It's the nature of the game. Collins will be ready to step in.

Hmmm, another player with a chip on his shoulder. I like it. I like it a lot.

Chaz Green, come on man!!!

How the hell can you not make it through a single practice? It's not even that hot yet. How did you let yourself get this out of shape, have you been sitting on the couch eating Doritos since January.

Williams with swelling in his "good knee" is not exactly a confidence builder either.

Compensating because he's not trusting the bad knee. Not good.
