Other Possible WR Trades??

I think it is conceivable that the extra draft picks obtained in this year's draft were actually gained to spend trading for one of the aforementioned class of WRs before training camp. OR...maybe I am just a conspiracy theorist.

Either way, I agree with Stash. We just can't rely or count on Glenn to contribute at a high level. If he does come back, I will be left holding my breath waiting for the shot that takes his knee(s) out again. Adam Jones is in a similar situation and we aren't relying upon him at all.

he's not on the titans roster according to the website. is he a free agent?

Yes, he's a free agent. They cut him in February.

I did see that the Packers may be done with Koren Robinson.

(Disclaimer: This is not advocating signing him! Besides, I've already got my Matt Jones to Dallas campaign in full swing!)

You would seriously offer up your cole slaw and mashed potatos for Matt Jones?!? ;)

There isn't a person on the original list I would offer anything for. We have gambles aplenty on this team already. We could have got them in the draft if we wanted them so bad. Why look for 3rd or 4th receivers to replace your 1st and 2nd if they go down? We have 3rd and 4th receivers.

I think we should take a look at givens

he was a huge free agent bust and also has been hurt alot...there's a reason the Pats made no effort to keep him when he signed that huge deal in Tennessee

I dont see him as being better than anyone we already have here

oh me either...I dont want him here...he's even a waste of camp fodder IMO

either get someone who's an obvious upgrade to our situations (like RW, CJ or Boldin) or leave it alone till next offseason and/or draft

Pat Kirwin suggested they might go after Michael Clayton

and not the Clooney one either :)

Clayton is a huge underachiever in Tampa. He doesn't fit into their system well, but I'm not sure he fits into any system that well.

I wouldn't mind having a shot at Matt Jones out of that group. Showed some improvement his second year but then got in the doghouse last year. He still has great physical ability and there may be a fair bit of untapped potential. You can't teach his size, speed or ball skills - he just needs someone to teach him how to be a NFL Wr. I would offer a 6th rounder for him.
