The biggest thing i love about this team is the heart of this team when we are down. The Bills game. Also, Romo was trying to make a play at the end of the Pats game when it got intercepted.

Fun. The Cowboys havent had this much fun in years and I think Romo is the biggest reason why.

The emotion Barber brings. I love the angryness he brings. He doesnt want to be tackled.

Folk. Our best kicker since Boniol?

Romo's play. It still has me a little skeptical tho. I honestly think he just needs more experience. Along with a lot of players on the team. Remember a lot of these players are new(1st or 2nd year, or just new the team). It might take them a while to gel. Even tho they have done a good job this year.

Run defense. No rushers have really got it going against us. Of course we really havent faced a good back yet. We will find out this weekend against Peterson.

No real distractions from TO. He is still a ticking time bomb, but so far he hasnt gone off the deep end. But, i do think he is on the diving board...

Dislikes

Penalties, penalties, penalties. Arnt we the most penalized team in the league for like the past 3 years or something?? If not I know we are pretty close.

The secondary play. Injuries have a lot to do with this but still it could be better. Ill leave my thoughts about this to other threads.

Not running as much as we should. Clock, clock, clock. Thats how we won most of our games last year. We should be more of a balanced offense with the personnel we have.

What I like most.
Jasson Garrett putting the pedal to the metal and never looking back.

What I like least is Jasson Garrett not knowing how to use the run.:)
Second least.
Our defense is still broke.

Defensive turnaround from Zimmer's scheme. Zimmer was good for starting off well then fizzling bad down the stretch. Wade's defense started off slowly and came on. We did give up 48 points, but that team averages 40 a game. But we've also had 3 sacks in each of the last 4 games. Not to mention Brady had only been sacked 3 times all year before playing Dallas.

Leonard Davis. He's a better run blocker and by far a better pass blocker than Marco Rivera. Allows us to run to the right and the left along with giving Romo some more time.

Ken Hamlin. Struggled a bit against NE in coverage, but has been pretty darn good this year.

How we use Witten which attacks the Cover 2 a lot better than under Parcells.

Bradie James losing 20 pounds.

Anthony Henry bouncing back from a bad Giants game.

Brad Johnson, place holder.

DISLIKES

Garrett's tendency to try and "out-execute" teams and using a vanilla scheme instead of scheming and out-executing teams.

Chris Canty has been disappointing.

Ware getting held like crazy.

Our special teams coverage w/o Keith Davis.

The refs unable to correctly identify a pushout.

95% of the Dallas area writers who are pretty much hacks and that's being generous.

The Roy sucks in coverage argument when he's been doing quite well this year.

Julius Jones and his habit for carries of 0 yards.

I like the verticality and diversity of the offense. It's fun to watch.
I like Leonard Davis mauling folks.
I actually like the progress of Jacques Reeves.

Dislikes:

I dislike the stunted running game. No matter who's back there, I think it's hard for Barber or Julius to get in a rhythm.

I dislike all the penalties they've been making. Repeat of last year w/these guys.

I hate the injury to Terry Glenn.

I think this is going unnoticed.

Great point.

How is a RB supposed to develop much rhythm when we are shuttling them back and forth.

JJ ripped off a couple of nice runs; next thing you know, Barber is in the game and we aren't running.

Likes: Everything - from top to bottom...players acquired; team attitude; Romo maturing; much more aggressive schemes (both offense and defense); etc.

Dislikes: Lack of kick/punt returner ace; Henry always injured; Flozell's obsession for the opponents jerseys and false starts; and slow offensive starts.

I still miss Bill Parcells' animated press conferences though.

Romo's continued development.

The Ware - Spencer combo is developing quite nicely.

Overall optimism / enthusiasm of team.

Wade is refreshing, likeable and isn't afraid to praise his own players.

Folk & Davis.

J. Reeves is in over his head, but he's been reasonably adequate, given the situation. He looks to be an acceptable 3rd CB.

Frustrations:

Injuries.

Owens - his drops and the media's fixation with him.

The Cleveland Browns are playing much too well.

The Roy Williams predicament (he's an asset, yet he's a handicap; no realistic and affordable exit strategy exists in the foreseeable future).

The Dallas offense is one playmaker short.

Nick Folk
- Hopefully he is here for the long haul.

Offensive Line - I am very pleased with the protection the offensive line is producing. Although Romo sometimes makes them look really good by making moves, I still believe they are an improved bunch.

Jason Witten - He has been a beast. The Patriots have defended him the best but he still got a few good plays in there.

Jerry Jones signing Tank Johnson. So he has a few black marks on his record, hopefully he has learned his lesson. I believe he will help us.

The relaxed demeanor of Wade Phillips
. I have had a lot of jobs and I have usually done my best with those boss's that have more of a relaxed approach. I believe this has done the 'Boys some good. Hopefully it will keep them relaxed in pressure situations.

Dislikes

Penalties - They have killed many of their own drives by committing penalties. I can't even count the number of times Julius Jones has gone for a big play but to only have it called back. Must be very frustrating.

Kickoff/Punt Coverage - Even though Keith Davis was out for 2 games, we need our coverage team to be much better then that. I thought I saw something special against the Bears when Hester went nowhere against us, but maybe it was just for that game.

Slow Starts - This definitely hurt us against the Patriots. We cannot let great teams get ahead like that. We end up using too much energy just to get back in the game. So by the end of the game, we were out of gas. This needs to change.

- Romo
- Nick Folk
- Offensive Line on pass protection

Dislikes

- Defense still has flaws
- Special teams coverage
- Way too many 3rd and longs due to poor 1st and 2nd down plays and penalties
- I'd like to see more variety on offense to catch opponents off guard

I'm most impressed with the swagger we have on offense, largely due to the pass protection Romo is getting.

1 a. What I dislike the most is our feeble run blocking. Once again, it is our achilles heel.

1 b. Mental breakdowns on both sides of the ball.

Hard to pick one, I'll have to go with a double double.

Like:

ROMO I feel more confident now on 3rd and 13 with Romo than I did with Aikman in 92,93.

FOLK I havent felt this confident about converting a long game deciding field goal since Septien 80-81.

Dislike:

Wade not calling a surprise onside kick after we took a 24-21 lead on Pats. We had the momentum, the crowd was nuts and the Pats were reeling. A successful recovery of an onside kick and Texas stadium would have exploded. That crowd would have willed us to another TD and the Pats would have folded like a cheap suit.

Wade not going for it on 4 and goal at the 5.
This decision can not be explained.

I like the agressiveness of the offense, and their overall attitude.

The defense is disappointing, to say the least. Injuries have played a part in this, but why are the cowboys gambling on Henry not being hurt.
