i have never been to Oklahoma, and quite frankly, I don't really ever care to go. However, if the people up there are anything like the people in Arkansas, then I bet they are absolutely down to earth, hospitable, friendly, and down right inviting.

I see no reason why we cant keep this to just hating on the teams.....There is no need to make childish and foolish remarks about the entire state.

As much as I hate OU athletics, I have nothing against the university. It is a place of higher learning and for that, I have respect for the institution. I still hate the teams though......

There's actually one OU fan on this message board that I lost some respect for. It was the poster Dallas that gave Rack and me a lot of grief last year after OU beat Texas in the 2007 Red River Rivalry when we had questioned the officiating and UT's Jamaal Charles for costing us the game - but we took it like men and were consoled on what turned out to be a pretty darn good football game (especially since UT was a HUGE underdog). This time around, Dallas starts out by posting his anti-UT gay porn while talking a lot of smack during the pre-game, then quickly and quietly "disappears" when the tables are turned and OU loses. It makes it hard to respect someone who can dish it out but then clearly demonstrates that he can't take it like we had to do last year.

Unfortunately that seems to come with the territory with a large number of fans in sports. They love to give it but they simply refuse to take it.
