I wonder if Musberger has figured out yet that the kicker was NOT faking...

It's clear that he popped a charley horse as he was trying to scramble back to his feet, and that's why he grabbed for his leg... he wasn't hurt on that wimpy running into the kicker, he hurt himself getting back up...

On the sidelines, they were massaging his calf, and a bit later, he was hobbling around EXACTLY like a man walking off a charley horse...

it looked like the Punter initially injured himself on the fake punt run. I think he pulled or tweaked something. Then on that acting job, aggravated it.

I can't resist noting that I've spent the past few weeks tellin' y'all how good Colt McCoy has been...

If Texas can run the table-- and there's some pretty fair teams in their way, so that's a big if-- then Colt is a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate...

who is this Colt McCoy character? why I do believe I have never heard that name uttered from your mouth good sir...:D

Naw, they'll be number 2, to 'Bama... maybe they rise to 1 after they beat Missouri next Saturday...

I'll tell you the real secret to this Longhorns team, IMO-- the offensive line...

As Kenny Mayne would say, "they're good"....

They need to run Johnson more inside the 10. He is a beast and runs the way Melton should have ran.

Today Melton played on defense the way he played on offense last year.......as soft as Bobby Crapenter has since he has been a Cowboy, sans the Seattle playoff game.

The most impressive aspect of the win was Texas' compatibility with OU: The Longhorns never once appeared outmatched or outmanned. Their talent seemed comparable and, in some cases, superior to that of OU. There were no flukes and both teams made their fair share of mistakes. The game was simply won by the better team: the Texas Longhorns.

Congrats on the great win Horns, but I'm really disappointed in OU and I think Bob Stoops needs to completely revamp what he's doing. He's the exact opposite of the coach he was 8 years ago. His attitude is gone. This program has no confidence and no arrogants and is in a free fall. It'll be tough for the program for a while because there won't be a coaching change for a long time with OU winning 11 games in fact I bet Stoops gets a raise for after OU wins 11.

Does the OU QB ever throw anything beyond 5 yards downfield?

OU scores again after Texas had them at 2nd and 19. Pathetic.

Like I said, severely out coached.

Everyones projecting him to be a top pick and I just dont see it.

He is only a Sophomore so there is still room to develop though.

The only thing I can say about him is he is tall and accurate.

I dont think he will go as high as so many people think he will once NFL scouts run tape on him.

Hey Longhorns fans-take advantage of yesterday's upsets. As much as I detest the Longhorns being an OU fan, my detest is only due to the rivalry and how fun it is to give razzing and get it back. It makes it simply that much more enjoyable. :)

In my case, I get the "business end" of the proverbial beating as of now due to yesterday. :D However we do share a commonality and that is with the 'Boys. So as one Cowboys fan to another-use yesterday to get at least to that number 2 spot and go for it! As much as I really don't see it, stranger things have happened and OU isn't out of the National Title yet, so if and when that time comes, then I'll obviously hope OU does a payback to you guys. But I don't see us with that chance. Otherwise, build on the win and enjoy the ride upwards! :bravo:

SB, I don't think your seeing any hidden gems here. I'm pretty sure most people that watch even a little college football know about Colt McCoy.

It was a freakin' AWESOME block. Absolutely killed the OU guy. Hope someone posts it.
Saw the replay of the game this morning at 6 am on Classic. My wife was wondering why I was so exited so early in the morning, certainly wasn't anything she was doing.

Sooner Fans have nothing to be ashamed about, OU played a good game.

And although they lost their College Football #1 ranking, Oklahoma still leads the nation in prison incarceration, high school dropouts, illiteracy, teen pregnancy, STD's, and methamphetamine abuse.

i have never been to Oklahoma, and quite frankly, I don't really ever care to go. However, if the people up there are anything like the people in Arkansas, then I bet they are absolutely down to earth, hospitable, friendly, and down right inviting.

I see no reason why we cant keep this to just hating on the teams.....There is no need to make childish and foolish remarks about the entire state.

As much as I hate OU athletics, I have nothing against the university. It is a place of higher learning and for that, I have respect for the institution. I still hate the teams though......

He's a real sleeper this year, and I've been hired to publicize his Heisman run... :D

We've got Roy Williams now, if the Boys can draft Colt in a coupla years they should be favorites for the Super Bowl for the next 10 years or so... all this team has been missing is the Horns factor, now we've done went and added Bigg and Roy...

Oh, he's known in scouting circles, but even now I don't think he's earned the rep he deserves... he has been nothing short of brilliant this year, in fact I had no idea he was even capable of taking THIS big a step forward...

It's not just his sudden affinity for running the football, he's cutting way back on the mistakes that plagued him last year too... and his completion percentage is otherworldly, when you factor in that he's not just dumping the ball off (and when you factor in that he doesn't really have that "go-to" receiver this year)...

Nice post. Funny thing is it is a rarity when I find people here in Tulsa who actually are from here. I was born in Phoenix, then spent time in California, Oklahoma and South Dakota in the Air Force. But if I tell someone that I live in Oklahoma, they get that stereotype action goin' on. But still hate my team. :D
