I know this should go in the draft zone, but I feel something different is needed instead of the whine threads. At least for a little while.
This should be close to our draft slotting picks. Round and overall pick.

1 - 10
2 - 44
3 - 75, 98 comp
4 - 112, 136 comp
5 - 177 comp, our 153 goes to Eagles for Biadasz
6 - 188 from Lions for Griffin, 218 comp, our 191 goes to NE for Bennett, but this could drop to a 7th round
7 - 232

Somewhere there is a pick for Ankou I think, but that could be a 2022 6th or 7th.

4 picks in the top 100, need to get at least 3 defensive players from that. Hopefully 4.

Great info. Hope you are right about the D-picks but we all know what the draft experts on the DC website say...BPA and you don't draft for need. B.S.

Yea I think that should be close to the picks. I seen where the 6th could be a 7th round comp, seen one time where we may get 3. This was from a while ago, I need to check if I have the links still. It came from over the cap website.

All defense and OL in the draft please...It doesn't matter who you have at QB if he is running for his life for four quarters...

This shows us getting 4 picks, and a 6th rounder for Jeff Heath....and some thought he sucked, but he sucked enough to get us a 6th rounder.

however this shows us only getting 3 comp picks.

I know it is all still being processed though. I don't think the official numbers come out until FA starts.
Yep, sure we would have sucked more if we kept Heath!! He only led the team in picks the last 5 years.

i think we could trade a few players and get 2 more picks in the top 100 as well. Cooper or Gallup should get us at least 2nd and maybe Pollard can get us a third.

When are comps officially awarded

You're right. If only we'd had a few more tacos, Shante carvers, ekubans, or trysten hills on this defense, then we'd have been in the super bowl this year.

So do the draft picks snake with the other 6-10 teams in the other rounds?

Someone want to explain why we have the 44th pick and not the 42nd pick, which is the 10th pick in the 2nd round?

I know this has been said before, but building through the draft only works when you stockpile enough draft picks every year. If you go into the draft with more holes than picks like we tend to do, it never works.

Every year I just shake my head at those who think they know how many and what rounds the Cowboys may get compensatory picks. At this time the league isn't anywhere close to deciding that yet some think they know or have a good idea of what they will be. I'll wait until the league makes their decisions.

Right now we have 9 or 10 picks, depending if 3 or 4 comp picks.
We have around 25 to 30 FA's, some which are RFA's. We typical sign about half of our own. To fill those gaps. As well they will sign 4 to 8 mid tier FA's to fill voids, the create the draft board from that.

The reason there's a difference is because right now it's just guesswork because then league isn't anywhere close to deciding the compensatory picks.

Don't shake your head too much, you brains will be more rattled.
did you look at the links I posted, as it is usually correct. Also a few on here been predicting them as well for years and have been correct.

There is an article on that site that mentions AdamJT13 as to where they use info from him and his formula. He was posting on here for years about comp picks and WAS correct. Before this over the cap site started posting it as well based off of his work.

So go ahead and shake your head all you want.
