Our backfield is overrated.

Most of you know I'm fairly rah-rah about the team, but I feel this is a gaping wound in our team that nobody is paying attention to.

Barber- He's lost his fire. When he got upended in the Giants game, that confirmed it for me that he's done. What happened to the Barber that NEVER got stopped by one person, especially a DB?

Felix- Who? Mr. 5 touches a game? Sorry. Guy might be a monster, but we'll never see enough to know.

Choice- Looks like he's our best back, and he's nothing special. Just a solid all-around back. He reminds me of Emmitt, just without the HoF part.

But how can you compare Choice to Emmitt and say he is nothing special?

Don't ever compare anyone to Emmitt unless they have some type of specialness about them.

Uhmmm... I'm sure Emmitt reminded you of Emmitt too before the HOF part. Choice needs more carries.. period. You are correct. He is our best all around back and may have a chance to be something special with the team if Red would freaking play him more...

I believe Choice will eventually become special elsewhere and I will rue pretty hard at that time.

I'd bet that we find out at the end of the season that his leg has been in a bad condition all year long.



I mean seriously. If any of you have that Giants game DVR'd just go back and watch the difference. He makes some sick cuts in that game and just has a quicker burst.

Hes still a young guy too so it has to be that injury he suffered.

Barber, Felix and Choice are same guys who were running thru gapping holes last year. The offensive line has been very inconsistant this year (at times dominating entire games and in other unable to maintain line of scrimmage). I think Dallas should start Felix in SD game...they need to switch something up in running game.

Never said that it would. But he was playing quite well before his injury this year.

So I don't think he has suddenly become a terrible player.

Did you ever think it might be our running coach or our offensive line coach who doesnt get the players to open the hole? Tell you what, run a few games for me and afterwards we'll talk about it.


Maybe its because the NFL screamed use Barber to open the game and close the game and we wont do that? maybe its because we drafted the wrong runner? maybe it might be that the team is saying "well we pay felix this much and Choice this much"? No, its on the coaches to make the changes and feed the players against the defense that they run best against.

I was very confused by this as well.

This additionally adding into the mix MBIII still isn't 100% and Felix isn't getting enough touches and we are in no way where I thought we would be at the 3/4 pole of this season.

I just think the touches need to be distributed in a different fashion where Barber is more of a closer and where Felix and Choice get more carries through out the games.
