The US makes the best full size trucks on the planet. End of story.

And hauling a 4,500 lb vehicle 150 miles is no walk in the park. You usually don't tow anything that heavy with an F-150 (or any other truck in that class). The guy at u-haul was reluctant to rent me the trailer (which was over 1000 lbs by itself).

I've owned a new Chevy, F-150, and Dodge and never had a problem with any of them. Ever.

I have a buddy who got sucked in by the over dramatic advertising of Nissan and bought a Titan. He's had it just over a year and has already had to take it in for repairs 3 times for 2 different problems. He regrets he ever bought the dang thing.

Again, F-150 has been the #1 selling VEHICLE in the US (not just truck, but vehicle overall) for over 30 straight years. There's a reason for that.

Thinking that a company (or companies) that is new to the game (full size pickups) is better then companies that have been doing it for decades is ignorant.

I've got a 2004 Extended Cab F150 Lariat and I absolutely love it. It's got the 5.4L engine with a tow package and I've towed things most people wouldn't try. I've pulled trailers as long as 60' without a problem.

It has all leather on the interior, and I've found it to be very comfortable and well laid-out. I drive from Austin to Kingsville non-stop twice a month and I'm also in my truck for several hours a day going to and from work and I never mind the drive. For having such a large engine it gets surprisingly good gas mileage too. I really like the sound system it came with as well, it sounds better than some custom systems I've heard.

Less time bragging about a darn truck...more time working on a REAL vehicle.

Geez...truck guys, I never get it.

I don't have any special vehicles.......yet.

I drive a '98 Chevy Cavalier with 203,000 miles on it and the little lady drives a 2006 Chevy Uplander minivan.

I am looking for a 1979-81 Camaro Z-28, but I am picky. It must have a manual transmission and I prefer T-tops and it must be in pristine condition.....I am no Rack.

I like the look of Fords better than Chevy, but I work for General Motors and would be shot on sight if I drove a Ford into GM's parking lot.

Sorry no pictures --just gave my wife my 99 dodge 2500 quad cab ---the cummings in it has 225000 miles. Just now getting broke in. Boughta 06 dodge 3500 dually crew cab. Stuck with the 5.9 cummings in it. I put a lot of highway miles on one and we also pull a horse trailer alo--so diesel is the way to go for us. The 99 gets about 20 on the highway and the 06 is gettin 19. Should get better when it loosen up a little... Just picturea big white dodge pickup ,
thats what theyl ook like

Awesome.

My next truck will be a dually (sp?) with a diesel engine.

Glad to hear you like it so much. :D

:hammer:

I had a chevy Avalanche before I bought my F-150 and I really loved some things about it, but the seats were about as uncomfortable as it gets. I might still have the truck if not for those seats.

I really loved the enclosed truck bed for certain things though. I was playing football then and it was nice being able to throw all my equipment in the bed w/o worrying about someone reaching in and stealing it.

:laugh2:

Just tell 'em you bought the ford cuz you're studying the enemy. :D

BP, I've been getting a little work done on the charger. My sig pic was taken yesterday. It's ready to go on the rotiserrie, I just have to drill out the brackets so I can attach it to the car.

Hey Rack --you have to check out the Dodge 3500 cummings --- but unless you are pulling mega loads ---stay with the 5.9 ---I pull a 3 horse slant horse trailer as fast as I want to with power to spare. You will love a diesel. My 99 has over 225000 miles on it and it is still going strong. It is a 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive and still gets 20 miles a gallon on the high way. All kinds of opinions on diesels --but I will always drive a cummimgs

Thanks, Bob. I'll keep that in mind.

Since I'm a bit of a mopar fan (still love my F-150 though) I'll definitely be getting a dodge truck when I do get another one.

someone needs to clean the brake dust from their front rims...

and i have to agree the f-series trucks are about as good as they get. I almost bought one over my blazer. When you see your friend tell him to sell that useless piece of sheet metal and get a real truck

Here is my summer car, I don't have any good recent shots.

When I bought it, 1999

Painted it the summer 2000.

I had it repainted in 2007, it looks a lot better.

Nice Mustang!

The people that live across the street from my gf have a mustang just like it (same year, same color as the first pic).
