Nay Sayer! Such blasphemy should make you go to church and say 1000 hail Marys!!! By the way I hear that Romo has been practicing his ex-capability. Just saying, watch what you asking for you may just get it!! Get it!!

Too funny. Life happens. Romo is no longer an option. Dak played poorly ... then again, so did two time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning.

I can't say I know for sure but 11 straight wins doesn't win a Super Bowl. I feel, personally, Romo gives Dallas the best chance to win a SB THIS year, but it would be crazy to go to a guy who hasn't played all year in December.
There are things Tony knows and can do that Dak can't. That comes with playing years in the NFL. There are things Dak can do that Tony can't, that comes with being younger and more athletic.
I think Tony is the most under appreciated qb in cowboy history but Tony is at the end of his career and Dak is at the beginning of his.
Dak is the future and I just don't think you blow up the future for a maybe

Because we lost a game. That's it, bench the qb that won 11 straight. Blow it up
Dak was named starter because he was making great plays and LEADING the team to victories.

He has not done that the last three weeks. He has struggled mightily. Yes, the team won 2 of those 3 games, but it was mostly in spite, not because, of Dak.

It's not that simple.

Romo is a better QB than Dak right now. The hot hand and chemistry-what kept Romo on the bench-just isn't there anymore.

We have a real chance at the Super Bowl and the best players should play

Yea, benching a young guy that got you a lot of wins in favor of an experienced veteran never works out..................signed Denver Broncos

Let me take a page from the Romo apologists ... but, but, but it was the defense that got Osweiler those wins. And the veteran wasn't any better. But, but, but, we don't have the same caliber of defense that Denver did. Heck, Denver could have put Weeden behind center and won a Super Bowl.

Tony Romo is no longer an option. Please stop.

The moment Romo walks onto the field, the opposing D will start licking their chops ... expect Tony to be blasted. Late hits, unnecessary roughness, an extra bodyslam, a shoulder driven into his back ... etc. Expect the dirtiest play.

Tony won't last 3 plays ... oh, that's right, he lasted 3 plays in PRE SEASON.

Please stop the Tony Romo fantasies. He would not have won last night's game. He would have been peeled off the Meadowlands carpet.

:hammer:

Dak has struggled with the pressure. But we didn't lose because of Dak last night. Unfortunately, he didn't pull a rabbit out of the hat either.

He's a rookie. I think Linehan has forgotten that. The OL and WR's played poorly last night.

Really hope we make the Super Bowl somehow, otherwise it will be a painful offseason of whining coulda shoulda played Romo.

We've had that every season Romo made the playoffs. Coulda, Shoulda.

The odds were that Dak would find his limits this season, teams figure rookies out and because the rookie repertoire is limited they don't have much ability to immediately correct things. Maybe Dak can adjust before the playoffs start but maybe he can't, and there's no shame in that. The good news is that we have a top tier vet waiting in the wings if needed... and wouldn't that be a nice, storybook ending for Romo's career?

And one time winning Super Bowl winner Russell Wilson.
And the savior of all mankind Carson Wentz. ;)

Dude, did you see how many OPEN targets Dak just wiffed on last night? It's was absolutely horrendous.

I could point out 5-10 terrible throws that should relatively "routine" for an NFL QB. He just got so rattled that he couldn't even hit guys wide open in the flat. In the flat!

You're right, the rest of the offense didn't help him out. They made mistakes as well. But Dak has the ball every single play. And he wet the bed.

When we have great wins, he gets the majority of credit. So he deserves a lot of the blame for their stuggles now.

It's a shame to see the guy we built the team around sitting on the bench while the Cowboys have the best team they've ever had in his era.

Do you guys think Romo would have put up atleast 11 points with his defense getting him the ball 3 times?

I do.

I understand the hot hand theory. I get it. But hot hands turn cold and this great season means nothing with a 1-and-done in the playoffs.

This is a good post, but let me be honest, not negative. I think the young Romo defies what the fans think and wins this game with this team, bottom line. Today, no, not only do we still lose, the Giants know put pounds on him and something in his body snaps. Romo loses more than just play, mentally he gets shattered too. That being said, these are the games I want Dak to experience. This year is a ride, but it should be setting up for next season. Dak needs these games where he can experience what the coaches cant team him, film cant teach him, no one can tell him. You are going to face a team in bad weather thats paid to take you out, hatred, passion, determination.

Garrett still hasnt learned, the GIants always stand up to play us. If they are 0-11, guess what, they are standing up to play us. IF they are 11-1 , they are standing up to play us. Stats never matter in these games. They always stand up to play us. Only when the Giants play us, do they have multiple injuries and they dont miss a beat. Garrett will NOT attack a weak piece of an opponent. The Giants know whats on the line and they remind themselves every minute.

Last night was about Dak, and thats how it went down. A good loss but everyone has to learn. These are the games he has to play and hopefully learn from. A loss is just as useful as a win. I just hope we capitalize off it.

I was listening to Al Michaels on the Mike & Mike show. He said Dak was under pressure all night, but that his receiver were dropping balls when he put it on the money to them.

Be that as it may, this overreaction is ridiculous. The Cowboys faced to very good defenses and won one and lost one. It's not like even veteran quarterbacks don't have a string of bad games. Russell Wilson has had two back-to-back horrible games in large part because of the defenses he was playing.

It happens. But this is no time to return to Romo. Let Dak weather the storm. He is the future.

And do you believe he would have survived that game? You are remembering a Tony from years ago. He's not the same. Any good defense will take him out.

I think if this goes on we will see Tony unfortunately and unless he leads us to the SB it will go both ways. I never saw a fan base complain so much after being 11-2. Even complaining after wins.
