All fair points. I would suggest he needs to see a seasoned vet handle things and throw the ball downfield. Learn from Tony, and more importantly, let Tony lead this team into the playoffs.
like he's done so many years before. yea, what WAS i thinking?

i have no idea what you just said but you seem pretty proud of it.

Don't even bother to comment upon my posts in the future...you assume a pissy attitude on my behalf and don't attempt to understand simple English...as you were.

I gloated about nothing and talked football topic. Stick with your agenda...but leave me out of YOUR issues.

ok.

fyi - you tend to want to sound poetic when you write and yes, it's very hard to follow. but whatever, have a day.

I do believe that Romo can provide more offense and scores at times. I also believe that Romo would cause more turn overs and I do NOT believe that with Romo at the helm we would be 11-2 at this point in the season with an 11 game winning streak as Tony is prone to have one, or more, bone headed games with multiple turn overs...difference is...Romo is not a rookie. Dak is.

Don't have any dog in this fight.

On a side note...these Romo vs Dak threads are to be in the QB zone...and I think it has been around long enough that people should know it when they start a thread like this.

Tony Romo is no longer an option. Please stop.

The moment Romo walks onto the field, the opposing D will start licking their chops ... expect Tony to be blasted. Late hits, unnecessary roughness, an extra bodyslam, a shoulder driven into his back ... etc. Expect the dirtiest play.

Tony won't last 3 plays ... oh, that's right, he lasted 3 plays in PRE SEASON.

Please stop the Tony Romo fantasies. He would not have won last night's game. He would have been peeled off the Meadowlands carpet.

Really like Tony, but agree he's going to get rocked by someone . Probably another one of those pancake fall on his shoulder tackles

Why the short leash? Why is he not afforded a loss? We haven't lost a game in 3 full months. We lose by 3 on the road to a tough division rival and we should bench an mvp candidate? Talk about knee jerk..

It's not so much a short leash and it's not about the loss.

I don't see Dak doing much more for us.

Let's say we leave him and worst case scenario we get in to playoffs at 11-5 or 12-4.

What can he do when they force him to throw and win the games.
He doesn't have enough yet.

Romo with his shortcoming and turnovers is the better option.
He is already good, real good, a seasoned veteran... all he needs now is a little bit of luck and stars aligned.
It's happened before to lesser quarterbacks.

Worst case scenario we get the wild card and have to play in Seattle in the Wild Card round. That doesn't seem that unlikely considering our trajectory and that of New York's, as well as our upcoming competition (3 teams fighting for the playoff lives the next 3 weeks). If Romo doesn't get a game before the playoffs there will be no point in playing him in the playoffs. Dak has one more chance to see if he can do what he did on that stretch... if he can't we play Romo because I don't want to limp into a wild card which we are only 1 1/2 games up with 3 to go.

I don't think we fall to wild card. That's a little too much panic thought for me.

New York got Dak in his first game... then we were due for a loss. Who knows what's really going there.

With that said, great leaders make the tough decisions,

Is Jerry truly great?

Put Romo in now. Then yes.
If he wanits until game 15 1/2 then it will be too late.

Why not we are 1 1/2 games up with 3 games to go. We lose to the Bucs and the Giants beat the Lions (probably even odds on both happening) all of a sudden we are a 1/2 game up with 2 games to go. It's not time to put in Romo now, but if Dak struggles in the first half next week, you can bet there will be people chanting Romo at halftime.

Unless we win it all with one of them.

Both answers are wrong!

To be quite honest, i put the blame on Linehan. There is absolutely NO REASON to only run the ball 8 times with your star RB in the second half when you are up by 7. Seeing him on the sidelines was beyond infuriating.

Garrett n Linehan are throwing Dak under the bus so Romo can play plan n simple. It's sad really you would think grown men would have more stones.

Pretty much. I wouldn't want to be in Jason or Jerry's shoes if we lose next week. No matter what they will be second guessed until/if we win the Super Bowl.

It's still great!

All we need is a shot....

Actually, Dallas is two full games up on the NYG. The joy way Dallas can lose the division us for the Giants to win two more games than Dallas in their final three.

NYG goes 3-0, Dallas must go 2-1. If the Giants go 2-1, Dallas just has to win 1.
