Think you have to put a lot of their performance on our iffy pash rush. Their sometimes but other times, nothing.

"iffy" is being extremely kind...non existant (again) would be more accurate

I don't recall any of our LB's making any plays in coverage yesterday. RW & PW played pretty well back there, though. Watkins had a big hit on (Matt Jones?) when Newman had him in coverage, and watching the replays I think if Watkins had gone for the ball he might have picked it off. But making sure he got the tackle was the more conservative option.

Watkins did almost give up a TD, though. That play where Ferguson tipped the ball at the line, Watkins followed his slot man to the outside and didn't pick up Henry's outside man (the intended receiver) who went inside. Rookie mistake that he will hopefully learn from.

Yeah they had good position on a lot of the throws they gave up, they were just perfect throws.

i thought this was the bigger issue. asking DBs to cover that long is a recipe for disaster. where was the pass rush.

I sure don't see why my boy AH merits any pass for his performance yesterday, especially since he is supposed to be the 'big receiver' specialist. Maybe that means 'the big, slow receiver specialist' so he gets a mulligan on Jones? AH needs to semi-mug his opponent early on to cow him - I don't think he got the chance to intimidate anyone yesterday, and he was playing catch up most of the day, looking pretty sophomoric at times.

I had to smile this summer when reading here that Aaron "could start on most teams in the NFL". Glenn was once an elite cb, but he is what he is now - an aged. slowed down nickel back whose must make up for with experience what he's lost in atheticism - he's going to run hot and cold depending on who he's matchd with, and increasingly colder. I don't think it's any surprise - he's a stone warhorse, imo, but time has taken its toll.
