It is also a scheme that in theory should have a lot of pressure but possibly less sacks. The DEs rush straight towards the QB on most plays instead of looping wide and getting them from behind. This keeps some amount of pressure but gives the QB a better chance to get rid of the ball. The DWare style was to loop around and get the QB by surprise; however, it often resulted in him being out of the play with no pressure when the OT pushed him up-field. The more direct to the QB style also helps with run defense as the loop around style often takes the defender out of run contain.
