Well as Tatar Salad once said "They have a lot of cures for things but stupid is not one them."

Dude, I guess I'll go ahead and prove your point: that story is so completely representative of the Dallas Cowboy fanbase, I don't even doubt that it's actually true. As a matter of fact, nobody even called the OP out for making up something absurd. What's more, if that person were a regular person on CZ, he wouldn't even be the silliest person in any given thread.

I wish I made it up. I have customers like that on a weekly basis. At least once a week someone comes in like that.

here is all you need to know about our fanbase.

Last year at this time 50% or more wanted to get rid of romo and keep owens.

now those same people want to get rid of barber and garrett and apparently start over with a new offense and try giving felix jones 225 plus carries.

and these are the people that dominate this message board and the talk radio airwaves and basically make all cowboys fans come off as jerks.

If Felix got the ball 14 times a game over a 16 game season, that would be 224 carries. Are you saying this is too much for him? If so, why do you think he can't handle a fairly light load for a primary RB.

I would agree if you said 325 carries - that is over 20 carries a game and probably a bit too much for a guy like Felix who I want to catch 60 passes next year.

Felix definitely needs someone to split the load with. It is just that many of us think Choice is the better player now and that Barber will be perpetually injured.

Barber is an okay role player and he would be fine in a role where he was limited to 10 carries a game in the second half. The problem is that he makes too much and the OC likes to use him much more than one of the most explosive players in the whole league. This offense will surprise people next year with how good it is - add in Felix and a couple of new OL and by midseason we should regularly be putting up 25-30 ppg.

no clue, I asked how he proposed that would happen and his answer "Jerry said he wants him, he'll finagle it"

I said "How?" and he said "Barber"... If we can trade Barber for a top 5-10 pick like this guy says, we'd all go crazy with joy! lol

show him a pic of your girl and say, if you weren't dumb, you might end up with someone like this, but you are so be happy marrying your hands

Ive quit trying to defend Tony. Some people have just made up their mind and no matter what, will always hate him. I dont know if its his personality or what, they just dont like the guy. And until Tony wins a Superbowl, no amount of stats will ever shut them up. :sigh:

Unfortunately, I think you are right. Romo is going to have to win a SB to ever be considered a great QB here in Dallas.

No worse then some of the comments you see on Cowboyszone and these type of comments are always welcomed.

Based on your word, the comments are pretty stupid but I personally don't want to live in an environment where everyone thinks the same.

If that were the case, things would be boring and you wouldn't have anyone to make fun of.

Yesterday at work ( I am a manager of a large Sports Memorabilia store) a customer came in decked out in Cowboys gear. I got excited and figured I'd get to have a good conversation with him and he blurts out "You might as well sell those Romo jerseys for a $1. He will be gone in a month or so. Jerry Jones has made it very clear he wants to draft Sam Bradford".... He then went on to say "he is BY FAR the worst QB in dallas Cowboys history". At this point I said "Quincy Carter, Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner, Chad Hutchinson, Drew Henson, Anthony Wright, Vinny Testeverde, Drew Bledsoe" and just walked away as I realized he wasn't even worth debating with.

What do you even say to somebody that stupid?:confused:

SO what does DIAF look?

A downside of the NFL being very popular today is that there are many more "fans" who don't have a clue about the game.

Decades ago, more fans were hardcore fans. Now, proportionately, there are many more fashionable fans ... (people who act as if they are fans because it is fashionable). Fashionable fans say a lot of very dumb things.

So true. I was in a pub watching the Colts game. In the FIRST quarter there was a chick whoopin and hollerin about the J-E-T-S. Thumping her chest that the Colts could only get 3 points "every time they get down there." (Uh, Red Zone, chick.) But whatever. I don't expect everyone to know all the nuances of a football game. Just told me how she goes about watching football. No biggie but I see what you're saying.

I let her do her thing as she found out what Peyton Manning does to teams like the Jets.

After the drubbing, she vocally announced her alligiance to the Vikes..........

Oy Vey.................... :laugh1:
