Yesterday at work ( I am a manager of a large Sports Memorabilia store) a customer came in decked out in Cowboys gear. I got excited and figured I'd get to have a good conversation with him and he blurts out "You might as well sell those Romo jerseys for a $1. He will be gone in a month or so. Jerry Jones has made it very clear he wants to draft Sam Bradford".... He then went on to say "he is BY FAR the worst QB in dallas Cowboys history". At this point I said "Quincy Carter, Ryan Leaf, Clint Stoerner, Chad Hutchinson, Drew Henson, Anthony Wright, Vinny Testeverde, Drew Bledsoe" and just walked away as I realized he wasn't even worth debating with.

What do you even say to somebody that stupid? :confused::confused:
 
I'm a college professor, I usually say (or want to say) you flunk and need to find a job that does not require thinking.

That's just a microcosm and isn't reflective of our collective fan base at all. We all have differing opinions. That's what creates a need for things like message boards. ;) I'm glad to hear you finally met Munchis though.

I would tell him I hear the Saints are the new America's Team and they can use your support.

I had two idiots my wife invited over for the Vikings game saying similar things about Romo being replaced by Colt McCoy during the last quarter of the game. Some fans are just clueless and you gotta laugh it off. Once I said the O-line wasn't giving him a chance they shut up...
 
ive got a friend who is a Packer fan and he called in the 3rd qtr against Minn to inform me that he was right that Romos turnovers plagued us again just like they have all season........

mid season he told me he felt sorry for Cowboys fans for having Romo...then said that Packers fans are in same boat that Rodgers sucked....and he wished they would have cut Rodgers and kept Favre

man I know how you feel i also work in a sports store and a fan came in with a barber jersey, so i figured i'd get in a disscussion with him. this was the monday after the second giants game this year. He tells me we need to get rid of romo beacause he can't win in december blah, blah, blah, and this is coming after a game where he threw for 392 and 3 touchdowns,and no picks. so go figure
 
What an idiot. How the hell are we drafting Bradford? And when did Jerry make that clear?

no clue, I asked how he proposed that would happen and his answer "Jerry said he wants him, he'll finagle it"

I said "How?" and he said "Barber"... If we can trade Barber for a top 5-10 pick like this guy says, we'd all go crazy with joy! lol

I sorry but when Cowboys are done I don't care for the other teams . Also Next month is the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games it time for us root for the real Americaa's Team Team USA back to the gold medal rush baby!!!!

It seems like every day I'm having to defend Romo from people who are Cowboy fans. Maybe I'm being a homer but I think he's a dang good quarterback. It's something that I try to explain to my buddies at work but there's no getting to them. One guy came up to me the morning after the Minnesota game and told me that Romo is not only the biggest problem in Dallas but in the entire state of Texas. This guy is a Colts fan though so what does he know?

Dude, I guess I'll go ahead and prove your point: that story is so completely representative of the Dallas Cowboy fanbase, I don't even doubt that it's actually true. As a matter of fact, nobody even called the OP out for making up something absurd. What's more, if that person were a regular person on CZ, he wouldn't even be the silliest person in any given thread.
