Really not that big of a decision, but if you want to give them credit so be it. Now any credit you have given them should be taken away by the pathetic attempt or lack there of, to fix this DL this summer. Dak also bailed them out on the backup QB situation. Before you are too quick at giving them credit for Dak, let's not forget that he was their plan C on draft day. Lucky.

Who cares if he was plan A or plan Z??? The point is the Dallas cowboys drafted him when they could have chosen someone else with the pick. Period.

There is something the front office has seemingly done a horrible job on: what's up with these guys losing their helmets?

Dez loses his chin strap every time he gets tackled.

Chaz lost his.

McClain lost his twice.

What up w/ that!

Gotta fix on thing at a time. Next year's draft will be 100% defensive.

I would hope not. I'd rather the FA period be 100% defense, but the draft be 100% BPA. Going into the draft targeting specific position(s) leads to reaching on picks.

Blokes, out of curiosity, does anyone think Jr. Or Stephen belong to this board?
Quite.

This is the most delusional notion on the board. The Cowboys lucked out delusion. Luck is a phenomena that exist with all teams. That and bad luck. It exist on the luck of the roll of the ball as well as where players fall to in the draft. Thank God in this regards.
What is really telling is the lack of generosity to your very own team that you cant grasp that simple notion of life.

Ok, Ignore the luck portion of my post and what are you still left with? Complete failure of this FO in addressing the DL

You can spin it any way you want, but it doesn't deny the fact that they got lucky on the backup QB position. This FO was perfectly ok with going into the season with KM as the back-up. No one had any clue what they had in Dak.

Malik Collins is a fair addressing it appears, not a complete failure.
We have more miles to go before we're finished.
Go back through the second round draft action and see who they could have taken.
and they took Tapper in the fourth he has been a casualty.

How many offers did they entertain for Leary trades? Multiples on top of multiples.. & with every offer, they carefully weighed their options and kindly said no. Now we see why they were so dead set on keeping Leary around. Bravo to them!

What an incredibly luxury to sub in a solid vet at a crucial spot on that offensive line. With our reliance on managing the clock again this year, having that Leary luxury is a priceless option. Add to that a 2015 3rd rounder in Chaz Green that's continuing to log quality minutes. Without La'el and Tyron we have performed admirably with quality depth. But just imagine if we didn't have Leary. We would be in full panic mode right now!

Special prayers going up for Tyron and his ailing back. Get well soon big fella.
It feels like some karma might be going right for the Cowboys. Collins gets injured in the only game where Leary was active.
