Other than the Rams game last year, I kind of like the combination. Marinelli is very discipline-, line-oriented while Richard has a good grip on coverage and blitzing.

I know many here want to blame Marinelli for Taco not turning out, but I really don't know how much influence Marinelli has other than saying that he needs a DE or a DT, etc. It is McClay and his staff who determine whom Dallas should pick, and like with every scouting staff, they have some misses. Fortunately for us, they have been better than most even with Charlton not having established himself.

How do you separate what frustrates about Marinelli from the Rams game?

The knock on him is the lack of guile and small DT's. The Rams were able to predict our defense and exploited our small DT's mercilessly

What's it going to be then, eh?

We finally, after many seasons, have a Pro Bowl corner, and some fans want to run him out of Dallas.

How about this....we pay our top players.
He had one good solid year. Let him prove it again before putting him in the pantheon.

I’m not against keeping him as long as he proves he is legit a top tier guy.
